2/3 of the game but still a long way to go if you ask me... Now the hard parts start, like the island and the bosses: Salazar, Iron Maiden, IT, Krauser and a hell of a battle :/

Speaking about him, is it actually possible to kill him? I tried shooting those Liquid nitrogen tanks but they wont explode and I dont think normal fire power is enough to stop him :\

I started again on proffesional mode and am now just past him in the catacomb areas but so far its not really THAT challenging. My amount of deaths so far is 86 but atleast a third of them is from those damn push the "X" button dodge challenges

As people said, it is possible. I managed to kill him by using the Chicago Typewriter. It only took around ten seconds to kill him with that.

I started again on proffesional mode and am now just past him in the catacomb areas but so far its not really THAT challenging. My amount of deaths so far is 86 but atleast a third of them is from those damn push the "X" button dodge challenges

I found professional mode very challenging, especially at the beginning when you enter the village and facing Mendez and Krauser. I remember getting fucked up so many times when I was against those two bosses on Pro mode.

you're talking about RE4 right?
yes, they go up stairs, use weapons, jump in windows, leep over large gaps, drive cars...
everything a normal human can do.

I found Professional Mode not as rewarding as I though; you unlock... wait what do you unlock. I'm just saying they could have made it worth all those 273 deaths I had to go through just to get what? Same for resident evil ( gamecube version) beating invisible enemy mode gets me shit, absolutely nothing. Think the rewards system for higher difficulties needs to be worked on then simply having to beat the game under 2 hours or so.

It was challening at the start but by the time I got to the island in chapter-4 I ended up with about 100 shotgun shells, 75 sniper ammo, 500 tpm ammo and more, which is twice as much as when I played it on normal, but I dont think I'll have much left after fighting that Krauser guy :\

I heard that you unlock the laser gun after completing the pro mode, but the infinite weapons make the game too easy and dull if you ask me. However they did put in a lot of unlockeble items for resi-4 (costumes, weapons + the v good ada missions so that kind of makes up for it)

Also
I managed to kill Salazar on pro mode in about 11 seconds :) Simply shot him in the eye with the sniper rifle twice then when he opens up used the rocket launcher, which I saved from the castle, and he died without me getting a scratch and leaving lot of ammo in reserve :)

You didn't unlock anything special when you complete the game on Pro mode. A reward for completing it would've been nice, yes. Perhaps a weapon to unlock for completing it on a higher difficulty. But other than that, I did manage to get through the game.

Ha, good luck on trying to defeat Krauser on Pro mode. I remember trying to kill him on that difficulty. I died around 50 times against him. :| I had to quit and start from the last point I saved at and tried to save as much bullets as possible and use a Rocket Launcher against the last part of Krauser.

Yea I just got to that part now and after spending 40 minutes trying to kill him (and dieing) at the top of that tower I got too frustrated and gave up >:|

Any tips on killing him? I waisted about 30 magnum rounds at him but he still managed to kill me. Im guessing the Rocket Launcher helps a bit?

I think on the gamecube version you get the arm canon when you get 5 stars for every character on every stage.

Sup everyone.

Can I join this club? I'm played all the resident evil games, resident evil 4 being by far my favorite.

Btw when you beat pro mode you get the plasma cannon gun. (on the ps2)

Also when you clear the mercenaries game, you get the handcannon in the main mission.

Use your knife and then hit him with your best weapon when he's stunned. Aim your knife to his legs.

RE4 for the PS2 must be damn good by the way you guys are talking about it. And to think, I could buy that now. Course, I need to save enough money and be able to walk into Wal-Mart, to the Electronics, and back to the parking lot without feeling dizzy the slightest bit.

So what all can you unlock from the PS2 version of Resident Evil 4, anyways?

NG Mafia, Pokemon Club, Userpage.

I was actually thinking about the books/ movies... Cause i was pretty sure they had trouble walking up the stairs, and when i watch RE: Apocalypse they had no trouble getting to the top of the stairs and it bothered me a bit...
