I found professional mode very challenging, especially at the beginning when you enter the village and facing Mendez and Krauser. I remember getting fucked up so many times when I was against those two bosses on Pro mode.
It was challening at the start but by the time I got to the island in chapter-4 I ended up with about 100 shotgun shells, 75 sniper ammo, 500 tpm ammo and more, which is twice as much as when I played it on normal, but I dont think I'll have much left after fighting that Krauser guy :\
I found Professional Mode not as rewarding as I though; you unlock... wait what do you unlock. I'm just saying they could have made it worth all those 273 deaths I had to go through just to get what? Same for resident evil ( gamecube version) beating invisible enemy mode gets me shit, absolutely nothing. Think the rewards system for higher difficulties needs to be worked on then simply having to beat the game under 2 hours or so.
I heard that you unlock the laser gun after completing the pro mode, but the infinite weapons make the game too easy and dull if you ask me. However they did put in a lot of unlockeble items for resi-4 (costumes, weapons + the v good ada missions so that kind of makes up for it)

I managed to kill Salazar on pro mode in about 11 seconds :) Simply shot him in the eye with the sniper rifle twice then when he opens up used the rocket launcher, which I saved from the castle, and he died without me getting a scratch and leaving lot of ammo in reserve :)
