Heres an email he recieved earlier today.

Hi Adam,

I found your flash online a while back and I have had some questions and misconceptions that I wanted to clarify for you. I hope you decide to participate, but please read this over and let me know if you have any questions.

You can publish your flash files in our directory and earn money every month on a reoccurring basis. We have a growing number of content providers like yourself, some of whom make thousands every month already and there is no catch or cost for you.

To get started, all you need to do to upload your files is visit our Flash Wizard http://www.sms.ac/flash once you register, and follow the 3 easy steps: create a title and description, provide the link to your url in swf format, and set the price. It takes about a minute so you should have no problem. All resizing is done for you and you maintain ownership rights.

*Right now we have a new incentive for our developers just for getting involved: We will give you $100 just for submitting your first application by September 15, and you'll be entered to recieve $5,000 in SMS.ac's "Most Popular New Pod" compitition.*

We do not ask for exclusivity so you can continue to post the flash anywhere else. Our users want your applications for their homepages and to share with friends.

If you have games other than flash you want to upload, feel free to visit our developer site for the SDK and Sample Code, or contact me for things not even on the site to make building quick.

We are also about to role out a big marketing campaign to our existing 50 million social network users and to the world. This has never been done before and it will go along with some big launches about to go live on our site over the next few weeks. SMS.ac will be generating a lot of traffic in the next month and my hope is for you to upload your flash and make some money.

If you need any technical assistance, more information on our business model, or anything please let me know. I am available via email phon, or IM. (feel free to add me.) You can just get started, and I look forward to hearing form you soon.

Thanks!

This seems like a nice way for a big company to come here and coax us ito doing this by acting like a regular user.... or just a scam artist who wants your card nubers etc.

Sponsorships aren't a great big secret. Sites like Armor Games and Galacti Games do a good job paying artists to place their logo in their submissions. Be careful, though; there are lots of unreliable sites out there too. Make sure someone else can vouch for the reliability of the site sponsoring your shit. Someone who doesn't work for them >.<

A rate of change in sanity with respect to time.

I am getting mail after mail after mail from these guys and I delete every one of them. I already knew sms.ac from their “free sms” thing. You had to give your email and password at signup so that they could spam all your contacts with invites. Sure, you got some free sms but they also send spam to your cell phone.

I never trusted these guys and never will.

This is the latest one and hopefully the last one as they state:

Hey Markus,

Let's make this the last email I send you asking you to join. I have
provided my test account so you can view pods and how your flash will
appear. Please take a moment to check it out. Hopefully you can upload
something today.

Just go to www.sms.ac <http://www.sms.ac/> and sign in with:

-ID: hande1@corp.sms.ac

-Password: Hande

To upload your flash, just register as a developer and visit the flash
wizard. http://dev.sms.ac/GM..Wizards/Wizards.html

.

It is so quick & easy and will earn you 100 bucks just for uploading 1
simple application. Plus you earn 33% of the monthly revenue.

Your first check will be sent the last week of September if you can have
something in by today (August 31st). Our $100 incentive ends on
September 15th.

Anything I can do to help please let me know. If you even just want to
send me the file, I can upload it for you. The url has to be in swf
form, and please provide a short description. I hope you can try, and
thanks for your time.
