Should Australia join America in Iraq to fight Ssddam?
I'm Australian and i thought it would be interesting to see what people from other countries think.
I belive that the Australian Government has an obligation to help America but i would prefer it if we didn't go to war..dying and all...not much fun really, but if i had to i would go to Iraq and fight.

What obligation does Australia hold to the United States? Besides, they're destroying their missiles as they promised to do. I see no purpose in going to war or having Australia to help if we do. I would think you Aussies would have more sense than blind following.

JudgeMeHarshX is, of course, an idiot. But that's hardly at issue here.
Australia should do whatever it thinks it should do. It would be nice to have some support, but it's clear they don't support us. That's fine.
War with Iraq won't be another Vietnam. Many Iraqi soldiers have already made white surrender flags.

I can see you're going to be slow to get any respect from anyone around here. Appearing one day out of nowhere and calling most of the predominant members of the board (Nemesisz, myself) morons and idiots without putting up any form of debate at all. It's probably just some attempt to get attention that will fizzle out in a week or so. Oh well.

What about you, Tallica? I'm curious, you being from Australia and all, as to what you think of this War on Iraq. It's your nation, after all. What obligations do you think you hold to the United States? I'm just curious.

Oh yes, let's not go after Saddam because he's destroyed 19 out of 100+ illegal missiles. Come on, are you really that dumb that you are falling for Saddam's games? What about the fact that he's building new missiles like this as he destroys a handful of them now and then?
The UN wanted them all destroyed quickly by blowing them up. Saddam is only destroying them 2-3 at a time with buldozers. Maybe he figures they can salvage more parts that way.
Also he is only doing this because we found these missiles.
Now what about the anthrax, vx gas, etc that he had a few years ago that he has yet to show us where it went? We don't care about a bunch of stupid missiles. He is just destroying them to get support from the foolish in this world.
France obviously has ties to Iraq financially. They sell a ton of stuff to Iraq, so of course they won't support a war.

I've got no respect for the French as they're staying out of war strictly to protect their investments.

Australia's help would be greatly appreciated. They don't have to help us if they don't want to, but I hope they take the time to analyze the evidence against Iraq and come to the conclusion that war will be necessary. I hope they don't buy into the "peace at all costs" hoopla that France is spouting.

France is saying "Peace at all Costs" (re: Oil Investments). It's definitely not the same thing as the real "Peace at all Costs" people.

I am well aware of that, which is one of the reasons I hope Australia doesn't buy into it.

Well, Australia is allies with America, i guess you can say that our countries are friends. Even if Australia doesn't actually fight, like a friend they should still offer some support . But i hope that it will not come to war. As for what America is doing, as long as George Bush is doing what AMERICA belives should be done then he should go ahead, but if he doesn't have the publics support then he should stop, we don't want another Viet Nam.
