The Military pays well =0

my cousin is in the marines for a couple years, and they are willing to give her a
$60k sign on bonus for her to stay for the next year. Then she gets her basic salary as well.
My other cousin who is just about to start training for the army says in the beginning the pay starts around the mid $35k and if her moves up even just a couple ranks, he could make 55k a year.
So if you were thinking of a career in the military, they do pay well.

I'm doing basic training next year, second semester. I get 6 credits, and 200$ a week. It's not too bad really. I wont be living there either.

Maybe they do, but why not get a better paying job where death isn't involved.

Although, i know a guy that's a medic in the Canadian Army, and all he does is hang out at the base and play cards. Sounds good to me.

So join when things aren't too hot. If you're in the US, i wouldn't advise it.

no no i agree your 110% correct on that one, there just gonna basically be math and computer geeks in the military. no weapons nothin like that at all. In fact, my cousin (Holden) is making it clear that he will not go into combat.

Post my parents are in the military (the Canadian one though). They pay well, give great benefits, have a full pension plan and will pay for your education. And sometimes they pay you to jsut play golf all day. It's a pretty good deal actually.

Actually, you're not FORCED to fight anybody. If you're inlisted in the millitary, and you are sent off to war, it's because you willingly sighned papers saying "I may become injured, incapascitated, or killed if the country goes to war and that is MY DAMN CHOICE." Obviouslly, it's not in those exact words, but that's the gist of it.

Yea really, like women are always complaining of how men don't give equal rights. So in the army, why not the Female soldiers do equal push ups with the men, sit ups, and running and marching strides/distances. Like it's what they asked for, isn't it equality?
