The Pikmin club

This club is for all of the fans of the living, walking carrots that live on a post-acolyptic Earth. I, myself have beaten both games (Pikmin 2, though, I'm missing only one treasure...) and would be happy to see other fans.

Rules are-

1- No flame wars. If you spark flame wars, you spam up the club.
2- Don't picture spam.
3- If you don't like Pikmin, the door is right there.

I have not come up with a rank system yet, but I wil post it next time I get on, which will be tomorrow.

Anyways, while I still need help coming up with a club rank system, we can't keep a club going without discussing a subject!

So, what do you guys think is the toughest monster in the games?

My candidate is that mecha-spider in that cave in the Valley of Repose (Pikmin 2). I lost all but three of my 80 pikmin squad killing that beasty, I'm so frightened of it, I don't want to kill it to get the final treasure in the...Cavern of Chaos? Hole of Heroes? I can't remember...

They are both very good real-time strategy games. One game will suffice, but both are good choices, don't get the first one if you don't like having a limited time to beat the game, 30 days, in Pikmin time. If you don't get all the required parts in that time...I don't know what happens, I think you die. neither of them are extremely difficult, but they both have their frustrating moments. Pikmin 2 has a nice multiplayer mode.

alright i'll keep my eye on this crew but i agree that spider was insanely hard ( i have both games missing one single treasure in pikmin 2 that weight that needs 100 purples) but i didn't lose a single pikmin on that spider its all about alternating your colors and running like hell and taking many many bullets for your pikmin

Yeah, when I ran up to it and started hurling purples at it, it started taking damage quickly, and I thought "Wow! This is easy!" Then it pulled out the cannon....boomboomboom!! The purples were blasted to smithereens running away. Then the spider ran for my reserves, and all hell broke loose...

I should give a special mention to the Gatling Groink. Annoying as hell.

the mecha spider is easy........... heres how i did it and i only lost 3 piks get 1 leader
and 7 pikmin (red or yellow) when its stomping round try to stay right under it and when it roars throw all ur pics at it and as soon as it shakes them call them 2 u and repeat. p.s keep louie/olimar just outside the boss battle field and if the fighting leaders pikmin die get the reinforcement leaderto send 7 more piks to the fighting leader (by calling 7 piks and runnin near the fighting leader and gettin the fighting leader to call them 2 him and then repeat fight process

the hardest monster is the blue blob monster (pikmin1) which 2 kill i needed 14 kamanzi yellow pikmin (by giving them the bombs and then throwing then in the blob monster (the blue 1 with the beach ball closest 2 ur leader) or the shell water monster (pikmin 2) which is a nightmare...... how do u kill it?

I've played a demo of it(note I am not joining). Your rank system could be that you get a picmin as a rank.

The blob thing? Nah, you just need alot of blue pikmin. They go through the gel and attack th thing's green thing.

...Emporer Bulblax? Or the Bloyster? Well, it is hard, because it locks onto you and follows you, but, I managed to get my pikmin around to attack it by allowing the slug to eat a few of my pikmin, and while it dined, I looped around and pummeled it. White pikmin are good for decoys, if you can afford to expend them.

i have pikmin 2 note im not joining not yet any ways but i think i like 75 % to having my debt money payed off.

its hard for me i mean i love rts games and im good at them (Real Time Strategy) but pikmins a difrent story i guess it just pains me that i have about 1000 of each pikmin and about 300 of purple and white that i cant have more than a 100.

the reason why ihave so many is because i play to much with out getting much acomplished.

theres this cave in the 3rd unlockable level dont rember the name i havent played it in a while. and theres like this thing i think its a giant snake bird or something but its not like the normal once its a lot tougher and always kills me.

mabey im to lazy to figure it out.

if you guys know what monster im talking about can you please help me with it.

The Snagret? I think you've been surrounding it. You have to throw pikmin up to it's head. That's the only way to beat it. Ultra-Bitter spray works on anything, if you encounter anything else that's really tough.

Anyways, the rank system is, as ramun_flame inspired, the number of pikmin. The most active member to come up will be my second-in-command.

A person will get a boost of pikmin in number according to hi activity or helpfullness to the club.

I am the Flower Commander. Highest rank for any of you will be assisstant flower commander. The only way for anyone to get a special-rank name is to be a very active or helpful member, staying in the club while remaining active helps you get a rank too. For now, though, all of the people who have agreed to join have no pikmin. Nada. If everyone starts getting the club going the way it should be, I will give promotions accordingly.

Also, when fighting the Man-at-Legs (as it's called), you will usually see walls around the field. When it shakes off your pikmin, call them quick and run behind one of the walls. If you do it right, you'll have no worries, as the bug's guns will hit the wall, while you'll be safetly barricaded behind it. When it draws in it's guns, charge in and repeat. The field in HoH is especially wally, so it should be easy.

Toughest critter for me was... I dunno. Pretty much anything I faced in pikmin was pretty easy after I took some time to study it and figure it's routine out. That's the trick. Don't be afraid to send your pilot out alone for some recon (especially after getting rocket punch).

And here's a new topic too! You know it had to come up eventually: Which is your favorite pikmin? For me it's white.

They never wrked fast enough for my interests. Usually, I just steered clear of water to prevent losing any pikmin.

My favorites are Yellow Pikmin. Even if only in the first one, they're effectively your tanks. That single bomb rock can blow a good number of chunck out of a Bulbear, and that's a quality I admire.

Once, a Gatling Groink ambushed a convoy of Pikmin carrying the spoils of an earlier large battle. I saw the pikmin counter going down, and when I investigated, my pikmin were trying to lift an object to heavy for their number, and the Groink was continuing to blast away at them. Those things are so blasted annoying when you try to face them from the front.

Incidentally, if you throw pikmin on its fin, does that stop it from firing or turning around, or anything? That was listed in the Piklopedia.

Is Nintendo really thinking of making Pikmin 3, then i'm really gona go buy it. I had the first 1 for the Gamecube but that was when i was 12. Though, i had a bond with those Pikmin when you have to sacrifice them..oh the horror!
