Nintendo will probably make discs of all their old-school games built specifically for the Wii or something.

To play these old retro classics on the Wii you can either use Gamecube controllers (there are ports on the side of the Wii under a concealed flap) or use the Wii classic controller (pic)

ah, but if u want to buy classics u can buy em on the wii, its estimated to cost between 125$-200$ and considering ppl pay 60$ for secret of mana on snes that a bargain

I think the controller is quite good actually, And the games like Mario Galaxy and The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess seem like they're going to be awesome.

The retro games Idea will kick ass, as long as they get the good games. Goldeneye is already out the window so I wonder what else will not be available. If Chrono Trigger is available I'll be happy.

The remote is to make it seem simplistic so other audiences like Older People and Girls who don't like games, and other types of people will try warming up to games since it looks like a remote and famulir to them, everyone knows how to use a remote so this should be easier, but less buttons. Which is also why they added the whole motion sensing to make a simple concept like "You control what you're pointing out" and a lot of nintendo games will be simple like that. Like some Ochastra thing or fishing or baseball, stuff like that. They're looking towards new gamers and not as much of their old gamers. Which seems like a good idea if it works and 3rd parties seem to love the idea so it should be a good console.

It had a codename called Revolution, and they've been known for having Codenames for Consoles for a while now. Project "XENON" and the N64 and some other consoles had codenames.
