There's a studio near me and they charge about £4 an hour I think. It might be more. Its £12 at the most I know that. But the figures £4, £8 and £12 are coming into my head, so its one of those. Which gives an average of £8.

That sounds pretty decent. I wish I knew of a studio near me.

I don't intent to hire a studio, not for my solo stuff anyway. I'm buying a Tascam and doing it at home. And when my other band gets round to recording we'll use our college's studio. Cause its free and amazing. Probably better than the local studios one.

£4 an hour for studio time?!?!?!
Fuck, if it is, that's ridiculously cheap.
I'd say if it IS that cheap, it'll probably be 4 for recording, 8 for mixing, and 12 for mastering.

I've not been in there myself, but I know its run by one guy and its above a pub and I don't think its anything special.
Meh, I dunno. I think my band are practicing in the same place when we get around to practicing. So I'll find out when that happens. We might be recording there if college decide to be gay and not let us.

Well they place that my band is currently recording at is 30 bucks an hour. I think it's pretty good quality, none of my bands stuff is done yet, but you can check out my friends band that was recorded there to see the quality here .

All of this studio crap sounds expensive. Thank god our band plays only at (our) school talent shows and in our basement. At least that way we don't have to pay to use a friggin stage. I wonder if there are some places where you have to pay to use their stage or something (sorry for the noob question).

Around here there isn't. Everywhere here either relies upon entry tickets or they have them free band nights in a pub where you're basically forced to buy drinks.

Let's see.... two 16-year-olds (me and my unidentical twin brother), my 12-year-old sister, and my 9-year-old brother. In a pub? Yeah right. We'd be in more trouble than the pub owner.... or is it the other way around? I don't know.

Theres no law that says kids can't go into pubs with supervision... unless there is where you live. There's this shitty pop punk band here and they're all like 11 and they get gigs in pubs.
Oh and you asked if you have to pay to play on some stages.... and the answer is yes. And the stage is Ozzfest.

Well when my band plays a show at a somewhat large venue, they give us like 200 tickets and we have to sell say 100 to play and if we sell over that we keep the money, but usually if we play at a bar or a smaller show we'd get like 600 bucks or somethin and split it, but where I live you gotta have a member over 21 to play at a bar.

My band hasn't gotten one gig yet but we might go into a battle of the bands at our school.

O I've been on stage before but I was in another band. It's gonna be weird though because all the bands are screamo and we're gonna be the only ska band so yeah. Haha I doubt anyone will like our music but we're cover all star by smash mouth so maybe we'll get a few cheers for that.

I'm part of the duet that makes up The Lakas Experiment. I've posted a lot of our shorter ditties here on Newgrounds, along with some of our cooler tracks. We play a sort of trance/metal combination.

Oh then nevermind and, i lol'd at the other screamo bands, i'm letting you know right now that no matter how bad the other bands are, keep in mind that 86% of the audience are there to see them, so you have to put on a great show, violent and charismatic and whatnot.

Alternatively you could be lifeless and dull.... but NAKED! Instead luff.

Dude, having members in multiple bands sux. Especially when there band rules out your band, cuz there band is older, even though the new band is way better and more fun.

Well, school has officially started for us (me, my brothers, and my sister) as of Wednesday, so I may not be on as often as I have been. I'll try to post in here whenever I can find the time. Anyways, my sister's BF came over the other day cuz he wanted to hear us do the song we're going to be doing for her school talent show (we're doing Weird Al's song "It's All About the Pentiums"). About halfway through the intro, he got up and decided to be a part of the performance. He's a pretty good dancer, as well as singer.

HOLD ON RIGHT THERE, your sister is 12, she shouldn't be dating yet, unless she isn't, or is he older, I'M REALLY CONFUSED. Yup and my gig is confirmed, in a new rock club across the street from Shea Stadium.
