I will consult you fellas. I haven't been here in a bit.

Okay, so our band is playing at a Darfur benefit concert in March. We thought "Hey, let's do something for charity by doing what we love. Playing music. Cool."

The jackass running it doesn't know how to run a show. It's on March 31st, and it's going to be outdoors. Not a bad idea. What we thought was a bad idea was the fact that it was a 12 hour show. That seemed WAY too much for everyone (there are more bands playing). The kid says "Oh a big percentage of the school likes the idea" (meaning his four little freshman girlfriends, aka his cousins). And then the little shit bin has the fucking audacity to call me selfish. Says "It's for the kids in Darfur". He's running the show because his previous show sucked, so he's trying to regain popularity (like he had any). He claims the only reason I say this is because my friends think so, but that's not true. I asked several unbiased sources, like other students and even my dad, and they said all say was not good.

What do you all think?

here's a song i wrote, i'm sort of happy with it

What I am

Recollect, Remember
A life once lived
We have nothing, they're all we can give
They're our only possesions
our greatest prize
our mind's obsession
and our soul's eyes

Pre chorus:
They're everything that we are
and soon what we'll be
our deepest thougts and feelings
just memories

Chorus:
I am my own future
I am my history
My thoughts prevoke recollection
Life is just a memory
Thinking out loud
What will you see?
All that I am
All that I'll be
All that I am
Just a memory

Verse 2:
Our soul's reminiscence
Of the time we took
It's just too bad that we never stop to look
At what we can remember
The good or the bad
All we remember
is what we never had

Pre chorus

chorus

Bridge;
What is a man but his memories
A product of his past
Who are you to look at me
all i want to do is last
What kind of man needs memories
when teh whole world looks to the future
All i have left are my memories
they're the only things i know for sure

Chorus

end.

See, i liek how it sounds, but i dont knwo its a little poppy at parts, please give me some feedback, this club is dying quickly.

Yeah so basically, for that one song i wrote "locked away", i posted it a while ago, i revamped it and i got the tune back. when i posted it, i had lost the tune so i wasnt feeling teh song anymore. since its back, i redid the lyrics a bit, it sounds much better. yep, this is basically a bump in disguise.

Man, I haven't posted in her for a while now, and we (our band, Short Angry Freuds) still don't have any damn lyrics for our Death Metal song, "Crusifixion." Mainly it's because none of us know anyone that writes song lyrics, so we've had to stick with doing song covers (did I say that right?). the last cover we did was about a month ago at my school's talent show, where we played Disturbed's "Land of Confusion." So, I guess what I'm trying to say is, can someone help us with the lyrics, please?

Thnx :D

if we wrote lyrics for you, that woukd mean you were just another theory of a deadman. Just try and i'm sure you'll write some good ones, also don't try too hard on the whole death thing, if you're doing death metal, find lyrics that have meaning. Don'yt just write somethng because it's br00tal, that just makes you sound well, loserish. any way, these were some pretty useless tips i know. hahah

Great news. Not many of you have probably heard of them but SJCdrums is making me a custom set. You can check them out at www.sjcdrums.com They're kinda like a cheaper version of ocdp for the east coast. I'm getting them light blue acrylic and it's gonna be soooo cool. I might even get endorsed by them meaning lower prices!!! Right now it stands at 2040. Anyway, I'll catch you guys later because The Rock Cocks are over here now and we're practicing. Take it easy and hope this doesn't die out!

Here's a song i've been working on ,it's not complete yet though, not nearly
the concept is basically some guys that wworship a pendulum.

Pendulum

The time has come,
for this, devil's son.
to become one
with the
pen-dul- um

It's a death device
the bloddiest god
make your sacrifice
one made with
blood

what i've got down already is very simple. a simple melody that the guitar plays and the vocals sing the same melody. I'm thinking of havin' a guitar solo, but i don't know where to put it.

Any help would be well accepted.

You're in.

I'm assuming Jerkin' With Jesus is a punk band?

Yeah, but we play what we like really.

The clash, Violent Femmes, Leftover crack and Tiger army are just some of the bands we cover.

I'm not a big fan of punk and I don't like any of those bands, but manly Leftover Crack who is just a whiny little band.

Well we all got our oppinions. I like many bands who play many different kinds of music: Ska, thrash, speed, Idustrial, Indie, New wave.

Me and the other guys in my band , Zyria , are thinking of covering Graveworm's "when the sky turns black"
Because the singing in the original is crap, but it's really cool and simple.
So we're going to sing it with clean vocals.
What do you think?

This concert we're playing at is going to fall apart. The kid running it has no idea what he's doing, and can't pay for any of it. Also, the kid hates us so much that he's having us as a "warm up band." What the fuck does that mean?
