i jammed with my cousin yesterday, he's up for the holiday. he's ok, he showed me chop suey!, but he's not exactly amazing at the guitar. he brought his new "metal" pedal, that wa fun to play around with. any way, felt liek postimg, fun little jam.

p.s.
my brotehr, who loive sin alberta right now, was at a bar with a buddy and the manager asked him to play his guitar. so, in front of a full bar he played some songs that he wrote, and he sang, and the manager asked him back the next day. also felt like this was worth a post.

guys, what happened to this club? it used to be so promising, now its dwindled to a nothingness that only newgrounds can define. another club, lost in the abyss, but i'll still post here, thats all we can do.

Guys I am very sorry I haven't been here but I went to Vermont and got back from snowboarding. It was very fun but now I'm back in the music world and hopefully getting this thread awake from it's slumber.

Anyway, band related news: The Rock Cocks (My primary ska band) gained two more members. We now have Me on guitar and main vox, Arthur on drums, Rodrigo on sax and backup vox, James on trumpet and backup vox, Kevin on bass, and the new members: Dany on trumpet, and Emidio on trombone. I realize we won't be getting any money from gigs having to split it between so many people so I've decided to make the band a bank account. Then all the money goes in there and we use it if we need new equiptement and things like that.

man, from how i see it, if you want your band to go all out, there's no splitting up money. with us, it all goes in the band fund. that way it's a lot easier to record and make merch, which definitely has made more money for us in the end. this way, if we ever do get payed for being in this band, it'll probably happen sooner.

anyways, the band had a fun as hell new years show. no, we didn't get crunk, but it was fun either way. we made 70 from the gig itself, but we made another 20 very oddly. one girl simply GAVE us 20 dollars. our rythmn guitarist was flirting with her earlier and said she should pick up a cd. she said she'd wait until after we played to see if we were any good. i guess we were, but she didn't buy the cd...she...just..gave us money?

Ah that's a smart thing to do Lkoz. We never did that, nor do I plan to, but a good idea nonetheless.

Exactly what I was planning on doing. But before we can do any of that, we need more damn songs and THEN some gigs. Just finished writing a third song and we were working it out a while ago meaning putting horns and shit in it. Sounds pretty decent and this is only the first phase of the song. Takes us about 2 months to finalize a song, at least thats how our first two went.

2 months? man, that's rough. i hate when songs take a long time to finish. i love it when shit just happens. but we don't have horns either.

My band's music will be up within the next 7 months. Something to look foward to, is it not?

yeah i wrote that the otehr day, my buddy danny and i were talking, and he mentioned an old girlfriend of his, she was pretty umm, well she wasn't exactly, you know, "hot stuff", she was actually pretty gross. so i wrote a song about how he went out with some girls that he doesnt even like, never did and how i coudlnt understand why he did it. if you couldn't imagine teh song, it has buildup after the solo and then it gets brought hoem with the chorus one more time, then i bring it down nice and slow for the last two lines, and i strum teh last chord real slow like when i say "hands".

Well, in band related news, we have an awesome new original that we're playing at a Darfur Benefit Concert on the 2nd. The kid who runs it is a total dick (and his last name is Dick, so irony there), and he gives everyone 25 minutes to play just to show off his shitty guitar skills. So, there is going to be much pwning going on, but no winners or anything.
