What is the style that you're playing?

I found a band you guys might now and/or like. They're called Folly and its a band from jersey (Where I'm from) thats gotten pretty sucessful. My bassist in The Rock Cocks, his cousin is going out with the lead singer from Folly so thats how I found them. They're mostly hardcore with ska breakdowns, you guys might like them. Try to get the song The Wake, it's my favorite. Hope everyone had a Happy Turkey Day!

Haha my first practice with my new band went fucking amazing....

My bass wouldn't work well, sound kept cutting out.
The guitarists amp was working awful.
The other guitarist didn't show up...
... he's also the vocalist...
... and he had the drum cymbals.

Apart from that... not bad :P. I made three new friends though :).
And we didn't have to pay as we left early.

alas, some unfortnate news. I'm not so sure if my drummer is focused enough to do this. We've been friends for a long time and we're really good friends, but he seems to be just wanting to get high and jam. Every tiem i approach him about schedules and times, he's either baked or says he doent know, he hasnt answered my emails and he doesnt go online to talk. He's the only drummer i know, but even when him and i would just jame togetehr, times when the whole point is to gte high and mess around, he still just seems unfocused. I don't know, i may be wrong, but i really just want to shake him and say get serious, like, i know its my first band, but i want to get gigs, and shows, get songs out, get good. iw ant my band to be like, my job, i want to get paid to play music, not for the money, but for the music, i want to play in front of people i want to be a perormer, i dont think he gets it. ive said to him that i dont want just a jam band, i dont think he gets it. he hangs out with a lot of the guys from collingwood (my town) local bands. he's friends with the drummer and the guitarist and they always smoke pot and jam, and i feel that he wants to be in their band so he's not treating this one with any respect. im going to practice with him obviously, to see if i'm just being paranoid because every time ive talked to him hes blazed. hes a good guy and a good drummer, i love getting baked with him and hes a good friend, but i need to know if he''s serious about this. fuck.

Yeah,s o my original drummer is out, i haven't told him yet, but he is. He's unfocused and he doesnt know marshall (my guitarist) that well so he's all " i wanna be in a band with peopel i know are good you know?" and i was all, "marshall's beter than me dude." and he's all "oh. yeah well..." he just wants to be in a band with jesse carter. now i know you guys dont know who that is, but he's this guitarist in this local band called through rose tinted glasses. theyre an emo band, now jesse is a really good guiatrist, hes pretty much amazing, but, hes in an emo band. brandon just wants to be uin that screamo section of music that sounds the same as every body else. with theyre drop d little, open d string, 2 high d, open, 3open 5 ect. its stupid and they change theyre amps to all sound the fucking same. once in a while screaming is ok in a song. fuck brandons such an idiot. trtg will neevr go anyw here, even though jesse is amazing at the guiatr and dave is amaing at the drums (dave is the trtg drummer) they are just liek every one else. fuck. anyw ay, on a lighter note, i got my mic avec stand yesterday, pretty happy about that.
