News.

We changed our insanely boring name to a slightly less boring name.

Monolith

It fits our sound.

I picked up a old Yamaha digtal drum pad for $50 today, I'll probably record some stuff with Black Anarchist using it this weekend. Our original guitarist has always wanted to encorporated digital percussion into our non-techno stuff, so he's demanded he be "drummer".

Um, well, let's see. LOL. Yeah, well, um, seriously isn't most of your work electronica? So, eh, get me out of my enhanced state of confusion.

Yes, alot of our work is electronica. But it's all soft-synths and samples. We haven't had the chance to get analog digital drums, so this is serious fucking business to us. Plus, we've written tons of rock-based material and soft-synths do not suit them, we at least wanted to play the digital drums as opposed to program them.

I know it sounds confusing, but nothing about our recording process makes sense to anyone but us, that's just how we roll....

If you're singing punk then you don't need a good voice, lol. But sure if your music asks for it and your not up to it without them, I say go for it.

Lemme be more specific. Ahem, The Flooded/F.B.L.A/Lefty all use "singing", "gutturals", "shrieks" (The Flooded only), and just weird noises some guys I know can do.

I want vocal lessons to improve my guttural/shrieking gusto. I can only hold those for a few seconds. And I need 15 seconds to recover, and that explains why our songs can be lengthy. If I get some help with that, I can shorten a ridiculously long song (~26:00) to a shorter song (14:00) which is more reasonable. It' just so our sets in gigs can have more songs in it. We are only allowed 40 minutes or so, and I need to shrink the size of our songs, if the crowd wants to hear different sides of our music.

It's for the band's gigging sake.

If you can only do one whilst your throat is drowned in semen, then clearly they aren't.

We can't be br00tal if we aren't death metal. Sludgey stuff, so, I would of preferred,

Oh and by the way everyone, I am representing this club in the Newgrounds Congress. I've been a delegate for 3 days and I helped to write the NG Declaration of General. If you want to view it click on the link in my sig and look on page 4.

You will have representation now. I'm the head speaker in the Congress, so you will get a tiny bit more out of this than others.
