Hey gang.
I'm not trying to be a member of the crew (jesus, almost 500 pages! You guys go waaaaay back), but I'm just a megaman fan. A HUGE fan, actually. But I have to admit, I've read some of the pages and you frankly don't seem to like the MMBN games, rather playing MMX games or MMZ. You know... I think that the system for Megaman Battle Network is the most revolutionary thing for the gameboy advance ever. I played almost (I missed the 1st one =( ) every game of the MMBN series (this includes Megaman Network Transmission for the Gamecube, but I like the Megaman Battle Network series better...) and frankly I was stunned.
I loved the games from the beggining to the end. And oh my god, I dunno about you, but when they introduced the souls (taking out styles, indeed, but... heh, I didn't like styles THAT much...) I was ... well, I couldn't stop laughin when I saw Roll's soul, and I loved Protoman's soul.
The best games for the mmbn series? Its almost obvious: so far, its the 3rd and the 5th. I think its very easy to see that with the 4th mmbn a new "generation" of the game appears, with different graphics, the souls instead of the styles, different kinds of music, different sprites for old navis (for example, good'ol Bass), etc etc. So the best "old" game is the 3rd, and the best "new" game is the 5th.
I'm now a local champion of netbattles, I always level up my megaman to become a warrior to which I can... well, full sync with and beat up my opponent. Wether it is a CPU one or a human one.
Why I love the series so much? Basically, they're unique: I never heard of another game that had rpg, action, involved reflexes, had collector's stuff (the chips, gotta collect them all! ), good "magic the gathering" skills (to make a good folder, to make a good deck, same thing)... Heck, its amazing! As a gamer, I was truly AMAZED when I discovered megaman battle network.
I usually don't play other megaman games, but the other one that I also play is Megaman Zero. That game is a good old fashioned action platformer! And it rocks, too! Zero is so goddamn cool, I wish that he could appear in the mmbn series... Oh wait, he already has in megaman network transmission. AND the Zsaber chip exists, and still owns (300 damage, 600 if you use protoman's soul power. Ouch). AND megaman zero later versions are linkable with mmbn later versions........ If someone says "capcom sucks!" near me, next time he says it will be in the hospital, dying right afterwards.
Been writing for a while... Lol after all this, tell me: why exactly don't you like megaman battle network again?...
(note: I'm an 18 year old guy who plays only ROMS for the gba, don't go all "omg this guy is a 10 year old who still plays gameboy while in class!!!!")
