Isara.com
Found this on another forum, decided to post it here:
"Im not the one to Advertise anything, but giving to Charity has never been easier. Lock this if you wish, but think about it first. Its not doing any harm.
www.Isara.com is a non-profit web portal but, unlike Google, Yahoo, or MSN, Isara uses 100% of its revenue to create charity projects that directly help the less fortunate. Isara has Google search so if you ever use Google, just use Isara instead. That's all it takes to make a difference.
Just to prove that this is genuine, heres a picture they did for Me and the rest of MGSForums.
(We are on the Link Partners page too)
So its up to you guys how this topic goes, but dont forget: Its never been so easy to give.
Thanks!"
so yeah, set it as your homepage, use that google search bar on the page to conduct searches and you'll give the little tikes a new home.

see, I found this on another forum. This is what the guy had to say about his whole site:
"Just woke up (it's 8:25am here in Thailand) and noticed some new people registered at Isara. I cannot tell you how much I appreciate it. This month we have nearly doubled our web traffic because of people like Hell No.. and all of you making a decision to do something. There's a great quote that somebody smarter than me said, "A wish changes nothing. A decision changes everything." Thank you for making the decision to use Isara.
We don't want people going around clicking ads because they want to help us make money for our charity projects. That would be Grand Theft Clicks smile.gif We just want people to use the site like they would any other site. It's your visits that really make a difference.
Those who registered, don't forget that you can create links to your favorite sites by clicking the "Add/Edit Favorites" link. You can also include an RSS Feed, weather, private messages, your own Photo Gallery, guestbook, and a few other things. PM me over there (pkgillock) if you have any questions at all."

100% of the money goes to charity, try reading the first post next time
you're probably right
fuck this, the opportunity to give to charity comes and it's incredibly easy. Yet you gotta be a douche about it.

Who Is Isara?:
Isara was founded in 2002 by Patrick Kirk Gillock, an American living in northeastern Thailand. Although Isara had been doing humanitarian projects since then, it wasn't until November, 2005 that Isara.com was created. Until then Isara had been asking friends and family for donations and was getting tired of bothering everyone (as I'm sure they were too). The solution was simple; do what the rich websites do - get visitors and sell advertising, BUT, instead of lining our own pockets, ALL ad revenue will fund Isara charity projects.
Thus began a never-ending campaign to get visitors to make Isara their browser's homepage.
How Isara.com Works:
Like most websites (google, yahoo, etc.) and tv/radio stations, Isara.com receives money from advertisers. The more visitors Isara.com receives, the more revenue. But what makes Isara different is what we do with that revenue. You see, Isara is a charity organization so all income goes directly to humanitarian projects setup by Isara. There's NO middleman taking a small percentage and everyone involved is a volunteer. That means more help for those who need it.
The Power of a Click:
Many people think that setting their homepage to Isara couldn't possibly help or make a difference. But it does. Yahoo and Google make billions of dollars every year, but have you ever paid them a dime? No. So how can a website make BILLIONS from visitors using their services for free? Advertising. Other businesses advertise on Google and Yahoo because people (us) visit their site over and over again. Web traffic becomes revenue and our visits have made a lot of websites (and people) very rich.
Isara uses that same proven "business" strategy but we don't keep the ad revenue to make ourselves rich. Instead, we give 100% of that money to our own charity projects. We never said it was a good "business" practice. But it sure feels good. Making Isara your homepage can make you feel good too. It's amazing how much power one click can have.
Isara Operating Costs:
Isara.com is headquartered in Nong Khai, Thailand. The rent Isara pays is free and everyone involved is a volunteer. Basically, there is NO business expenses or overhead, which means more money can go to those who need it. Also, very little money can do A LOT of good here. Example: $250 can buy a two year college degree. $3.25 can buy a helmet (80% of students ride motorcycles, 5% wear helmets). But don't forget, we're not asking for donations, we're just asking you to make us your homepage.

Hello NG BBS,
My name is Patrick Kirk Gillock and I'm the founder and webmaster for Isara. The organization and website that E.A.B. was kind enough to post about.
To answer everyones first question: Yes, you can search for porn and help the less fortunate at the same time. But I think visiting Isara will make you feel so good that you'll forget all about searching for porn. :-) ...Or not.
Heres the deal: With Isara anyone can help the poor, day or night, WITHOUT donations. How? The same way Google and Yahoo didn't need your donations. They needed your hits and your clicks. I believe a non-profit can create a website that can benefit its users (by providing a free service) AS WELL as benefit the less fortunate (by creating important charity projects).
I understand people are skeptical. It's the kind of world we live in. But the fact is EVERYONE involved is a volunteer. I pay my own rent ($100/mo) from savings or graphic design jobs. The school where I volunteer loans me a moped to use. And the Coordinators we have in Thailand, Nepal, and Vietnam all help for free. Every single penny we receive from ads goes directly to projects WE create. There are no middlemen. We're the ones actually going to the schools and orphanages.
Please watch our first podcast video for more info:
http://www.isara.com/content/view/249/138/
Newgrounds receives A LOT of visitors each day. If Isara could receive a fraction of them we'd be able to do A LOT more charity projects. Please help spread the word and let me know if you have any questions.

Fuck charity, just let 'em lil fuckers die and rot so we will never hear about them again. That way everybody's happy. They die, we don't get fucking annoyed hearing about them everywhere. Prostitution exists for a reason. Wow thanks for ruining my Internet for tonight.

A-P - Thanks a lot. There's an Image search link directly below the search box if you need to search for images. I wish the search results page had the link but that's just Google being Google. $%#@!!
Interscope - Thanks, man. I really appreciate the support.
