sound sequencing

FL Studio 6 is giving me some trouble and i posted a where can i get a tut. and they gave me a sucky webpage where i can't find shit and here.Now you can help me by posting one of two things.
1.a GOOD tut.
or
2.you tell me
my question is how do i sequence the music because if i put it on song Nothing. but on pat it loops.how do i put stuff in the mixer or whatever to here my music and sequence it.
