You overestimate the maturity on this thread.

There is no such thing as a quality forum with an edit post. People will change their arguments and make inflammitory or hateful edits. Considering people in their early 30s have no life and do this, imagine all the kids doing it.

I really don't know what would make me leave. I think if the wrong people would be made mods every year, and if there were some really ridiculous rules enforced on NG.

No it's not, a user to go back and change all his first posts. People could mass edit and ruin threads or have a spammy convo in a thread they all posted in without bumping it. Editing would make the mod's job amazingly hard.
