You've all heard the test: "Do you see this glass as half-empty, or half-full?"
This is a test to see whether the taker is optimistic, or pessimistic. However, a logical answer would be "Yes." Please discuss this with me.

Yes would not be a logical answer. It is not a yes or no question, therefore, a yes or no response cannot be given. You have to be more specific with your answer.

It would be logical to say yes because you do see the glass as half empty or half full, and you don't see it as anything else.

The proper question to as is "Which option do you see this glass as, half empty or half full? Please use a number two pencil only and make your mark heavy and dark."

But I do not see the glass as anything, but as a matter of fact I see the glass as nothing because of the fact that you can never tell reality from your subconscience, but in a world that states what you see is the truth, you can never determine what truly exists and what is false because your mind can alter reality into making you believe that something is existant. So there for, The glass is nonexistant.

Depends.

If the glass was filled to the half, then is half full.

If it was full and someone then just leaved the half, it's half empty.

The glass is neither half empty or half full. Its two times the size it needs to be.

So the glass needs to be one quarter full? Explain the reasoning behind your statement.

No, if the glass was cut in half it would be perfect. It makes sense.

Well, the reason I say "Yes." is because it is half empty, or half full.
"Is this glass half empty, or half full?"
"Yes."

The logical answer isn't yes. The context of the word "or" in this sentence is implying that there are two choices for an answer.

Is the glass half-empty or half-full.

Not much food for thought.

I've been refurbished and reissued, prepackaged and precooked, decontaminated and deloused, but I still smell, sound, look and feel like shit.

The questioner implies that there is two options by the addition of a comma, therefore making it so there is two options that can be taken into consideration.

lol smart.

It's like this:
"Is it half empty, or half full?" translates to:
"Is it one or the other?"
Yes." translates to:
"It could be either."

Yes translates to: incorrect answer. In order to respond with a 'yes' or 'no', the question would have to be-worded. The question is saying it could be one or the other, but you have to specify which one you think it is.
If someone came up to you and said "Do you think you're going to have a good day or a bad day?", and you answered yes, that would not make any sense.

That's always been an odd saying....I'd just say both because it's the most logical. It just depends on who's looking at the glass, or if somone just drank the other half of it maybe? Ida know...

actually i think the logical and scientific answer is the glass is always full seeing as when the liquid is removed it is replaced by air thusly no empty space and a full glass no matter how much liquid happens to occupy the glass

TAKE THAT LOGIC!!!
