I got passed this link by a friend. It's a brief test to gauge your political beliefs.

http://www.politicalcompass.org/

My political compass
Economic Left/Right: -1.38
Authoritarian/Libertarian: -4.77

This is NOT the stupid & biased 8 question test found on the Libertarian's website, also known as the World's Smallest Political Quiz.

So... TAKE THE TEST already. I'm VERY curious to see where many of you rank... (especially Freakapotimus & Wade).

:)

Heh, here's a topic on it from some time ago.
http://www.newgrounds.com/bbs/topic.php?id=10011

I end up doing this test every few months or so, and currently I am....
Economic Left/Right: -10.00
Authoritarian/Libertarian: -9.79

Which makes more more left wing than I was
Economic Left/Right: -8.16
Authoritarian/Libertarian: -8.59

On a sidenote, they have changed some of the questions. On another sidenote, how did you get it so you could get the like the whole picture, my last attempt is documented on the other topic.

Hey, I don't remember that topic, but obviously I replied to it. My scores then:

Economic Left/Right: -4.69
Authoritarian/Libertarian: -6.18

I had to get a screen shot and crop the rest out.

This is where I stand. I always thought of myself as a little communistic.

Gees... I can't believe I missed that!

For my graph I took a screenshot, cropped it, and sized the width to 300 so I could upload it.

I took the test yesterday and got the same Authoritarian/Libertarian score, but was dead center on the Economic Left/Right line. I guess I am feeling a bit more left today :)

Wow... so you are a pure left wing libertarian. There's a whole FAQ about that on the site you might be interested in: http://www.digitalronin.f2s.com/politicalcompass/faq.html#libandleft

..because to be honest... before I read that I was about to say that being a left wing libertarian was not possible. :)

Yeah, that's just about where I thought you would be :)

I really enjoy the liberal presence on NG. There are a lot of conservative assholes on my school's campus... so it's refreshing to see some solid liberals!

Meh...it was an old topic, it crops up occasionaly on most boards I inhabit. Always fun.

I did actually read the left-wing libertarian thing and unsurprisingly I read a lot of Chomsky. Really great guy, even if you're not really left-wing. I suggest reading "Manufacturing Consent" it's about how the media manipulate public opinion.

Honestly, I am going to look at that. Thanks for the recommendation.

What a nice little toy. It gave me and some friends a good laugh. Teacher took the test, too. Gave him the opposite of what he thought he was, though.

Well, perhaps if he took the test in front of his class, or with people looking on, he could of been trying to be PC and not check things that normally he would of checked. Or vise versa... he could be putting other non-PC things to 'look cool', but I believe the former more than the latter.

I placed right about where I thought I would. It seemed accurate in my case.

This could let us rewrite the entire Arch-Nemesis idea.
Who is your opposite?

I should be at odds with swayside, and I should often agree with Freakapotimus.

i didn't need this test to know that. i've only fully agreed with you on one point. i don't think i've ever agreed with freakapotimus...

This test may be BS, I tried giving the most extreme answers possible and it never placed me more than 5 from the middle.

Authoritarian/Libertarian: 9.54

So you can get there.

So swayside is the most right-wing and Mr Nemmy-poo is the most authoritarian.

Hmm, we need more right-wingers. And we should get Wade to do the test.

Interesting... perhaps a site like Newgrounds attracts Leftist Libertarians. Perhaps it is the "counter culture" element. A Rightwing Authoritarian would most likely not appreciate subversive humor.

Economic left/right: 1.50
Authoritarian/libertarian: -0.92

Closer to the middle than I expected on economic issues, but about where I expected socially.
