Theres the link to an online flash game we have made. The server is on my home PC on a normal broadband connection in London, so any lag is probably due to that.

Please tell me what you think.

For all you techno-nerds, the game is written in ActionScript 2 (Obviously), the Server in Java, they communicate in XML, and I've also got some SQL syntac in there.

Anybody who wants help in any of those languages, and PHP, just post a message in this thread.

You need to make it cleared which player you are because when you start a game, i found it confusing as to whihc player i was. And also, when someone loses a point, the ball only comes out of one side. Change this, so that whoever loses the point, the ball comes out on their side.

Also, there was a HELL of alot of LAG!

You're just upset because you lost!

But seriously, the lag is pretty irritating.

I DID say about lag. Its because its on a HOME INTERNET CONNECTION and the server is my HOME PC. The web server, and the server for the game are all loaded off my PC. I know its annoying, but right now its the best I can do.

Its hard to review with the lag, but yeah, it looks promising because its so simple and the room setup seems to work great.

OK People, I know the lag is freaking annoying. I will get rid of it as soon as i can afford a better connection. Plus, flash doesnt have great Socket streaming tools, which is why online flash games are few and far between (Ive only ever seen 2 others).

There are some other online flash games, but they work with PHP and loadXML functions, which is Ok for turn based games, but not live streaming.

It worked great! Except for that one time when my paddle just disappeared for a few seconds and I lost. =(
