Instead of asking should I do this, will you take that? you should consider these steps:

1. Look at his work

2. Think to yourself "If there were to be a theme song of some sort - how would it go..?"

3. Compose - produce - record - whatever

4. Submit...

A winner will be picked - There's nothing wrong with asking for a little direction but just make what you think seems to fit.

Sorry if I'm talking out of turn, I'd just hate to see this contest turn into 30 some-odd people all asking for custom direction to produce a tailored piece of work... Hell we don't need a contest for that...

I think this contest is a great idea and a well engineered one too, and LJC I totally agree with you, hell, what sort of contest would it be if there are just 30 cloned pieces around a central theme, use your imagination people, do some research.
Now I am definately speaking out of term:)

my thoiughts exactly. im going to make a second entry, with better drums, and probly differen guitar...maybee a tad bit longer as well.

In case it hasn't already been said, I think that the winner should get a sig EVERY month in addition to whatever prize you come up with. I also think there should be some kind of prize for second and third place as well, as long as that is not to much work, or presents too much of a problem. After all, I have a feling that with the success of the frist contest, many (like myself), will want to join in, and this thing will get big.

Just an idea.

well my sig is vandalised already but wtf i'll pop in Generic tragedy music as my contest entry for mac 6 august. i think it has a war zone feel i may submit somthing else but i think this one could be good cuz of darker strings with an infectious b3at. It has a warzone mentallity even if its a comedy. It is infact an old track however its also a good track. .

This is great! Too bad I missed the deadline for the other contest although I said I was gonna join. ^___^

Well, I am really going to try to make a song for this one. Count me in guys and as far as judging, is that still an option or can you not judge and post?

I use Mac as well. I'll make sure mine is in AIFF as well if you decide to use ine :)
