There are to many of these threads.
The egg came first. Dinosaurs laid eggs way before a "Chicken" Existed.
If you don't like that answer, The egg had to had come first, cause a chicken comes from a egg.

Ahh, but was it a chicken egg? Wouldn't be safe to presume that what came out of the otherwise normal goat-rooster egg, was a mutated form of the species. Therefore, it was first, and its eggs came after.

I think there was a flash by granfaloon or someone which did this mathematically. It's under the Bird collection. Anyway I think it said that the egg came first.
