Carlos Mencia is an asshole.

Everything about Carlos Mencia, including, but not limited to, his stand up comedy act, "Mind of Mencia", him, his wife, his parents, and his car.

All this guy does is go around telling shitty stand up jokes followed by some pre-recorded videos. It's much like the Chapelle Show, if David Chappelle was a complete moron. The kicker here is that none of the jokes are funny; they are simply racist. It's like watching a Richard Pryor act, minus the funny. Just racism. Or watching a half hour of Yakov Smirnoff doing russian reversal jokes, only minus any implication of wit and notions of Soviet opression. What's worse, this asshole acts like he's the most offensive guy in the world. He acts like big shit; like he's some internationally hated star with boycotts and picket signs everywhere. He thinks he's Ice T in 1991.

For example, A recent episode I happened to glance over featured him saying Chinese people drink pee, so he can call them yellow. A stupid, unfunny joke. End of story, rigjht? Nope. In responce to the TEN SECOND INITIAL JOKE, he then spends a few minutes doing an impression of some guy going "Oh my god! You can't say that! Blah blah, blah blah!", and then goes on this stupid little rant about how he can do whatever he wants, and he doesn't care who get's offended. Really? Then I wonder why he goes around and lies about being Mexican (Both his parents are from Honduras, and he has born and raised in America) so people won't call him a racist. I mean, it just seems to me that if you didn't care WHO called you a racist, you wouldn't go around making up lies for the sole purpouse of keeping people from calling you a racist.

What is possibly the stupidest thing about his show is his usage of the noise "Dee-dee-dee" to point towards the person he's reffering to being retarded. Whereas the joke would normally be stupid and completely laugh free (I.e, "George Bush is a retard!"), all he has to do is add in his little noise ("George Bush is a DEE-DEE-DEE") and all of a sudden it's the funniest fucking thing anyone in the audience has ever heard. The man isn't funny, and anyone who likes it is an asshole.

I really cannot see why anyone would watch him when there are plenty of other great show's on TV, like House.

I agree that Mind of Mencia is terrible. His stand-up on it is fucking atrocious. But, have you seen his hour long special on Comedy Central called No Strings Attached? It was surprisingly really good. He can do funny stuff, his show just tends to suck.

Mencia is the poor man's George Lopez, except George Lopez is a poor man's comedian too.

However, there's no way that show will get cancelled anytime soon. There's enough idiots to find that show funny, since they feel that observational comedy that is purely based on stereotypes are funny. At least Chappelle's Show sought to actually address racism on more than one side, and joke about it a little rather than just tell the same joke about "U KNOW BEANERS AND RICE EATERS ALL OWN RESTAURANTS, AND THEY CAN'T SPEAK ENGRISH!1 THEY SHOULD DO LIKE THE SPADES AND CAMEL JOCKIES AND FUCKING OPEN UP CORNER STORES DUR DUR DURRRRR!!!1"

I looked through a couple episodes, and they show the audience a lot. The signs would have to be way high up. I'd say it a lot mpre likely the audience is just retarded.
