If I have a image in my libary and when I drag it to my work space it is bigger then the work space, i wanted to know how do I get it, to when I drag my picture it will resize it to fix the work area?

Thats what I have.But how do I get it to resize it to my work area, it doesnt do it now.
Click the image once, press control+T, and the transform pane should show up. Now resize.
If you need a perfect fit without distortion, think about using that and a layer mask.

Well, the transform panel comes up but it wont let me click anything or change nothing, and I have the picture selected.

Select the line tool and draw a line off the edge of the stage, when you release, the stage will resize. Repeat in all direction until your pic fits.
