hmm this is odd.

I started these forums around x-mas.

In three months, of posting nearly everyday. I have become much much much better at flash, helped maybe a hundred users (probs not) and made 4 good friends, and many other pals.

Why is it all falling apart?

I still use these forums alot, even tho the questions get boring and ur nan loves it.

_wizard_ is a clever clever man. I dont know why u all hate him, mind u I have been involved in so meny slag ohh bli matches on the bbs, I stop bothering to read when ppl start sending stfu pics (if it's peeps I dont know) but _wizard_ has helped me a ridiculous amount on my new game.

Actionscript is easy, if ur doing stuff which has been done before. Very hard to push it to new levels (and this is where u get the credit) _wizard_ can do this.

I have only ever ripped one script b4 (i admit ok!!! the guilt was to much) and that was a colin moock one and I gave him credit.

If you think these forums are dead, you've thought wrong! Don't you see all the posts coming in every minute...? It's still as crowded as before, maybe even more crowded... As much as I like reading all the posts, I don't even get a chance!

If you think this forum is dead, try the general forum... that one's even more crowded than this one!

actually, they are dead... or at least dying. i mean, there are tons of topics, and no one helping, and i suppose that is partially my fault...goodbye flash forums...i shall not help here anymore, i will only visit the flash forums to go to this topic.

Gee the forum is picking up but it is truly dead.... I only goto the general forum now, I only come here to talk to old friends in this thread alone. and sorry about that bump thing i was bored....

The forum is dying, but not dead. It probably started to tumble when fargate left. He was the best. Devoted his time to everyone but himself... which is probably whats going on now (helping himself). God, I hope he returns. Now I, and many others have become regulars and helped beginners and n00bs... kind of like a new generation. The forum will be strong. We can't let it die.

WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT? Where you around when Fargate was? NO. Yes fargate was good but he was a very rare poster, you can tell from the Look At This topic, which is where you mainly know him from, he posted so seldomly.. There were alot of others out there (maybe some not as good as him) that devoted a hell of a lot more time to people who needed help. Get it straight before writing. Fargate is a legend still but he wont come back, im sure of it...

Yeah, I came late. And, yeah, I only saw him in the Look At This!! topic, but I see how everyone talked good towards him and everything... and.. aww fuck it. sorry. I really should my story straight first. Geez. My bad.

I guess I gots carried away but Fargate was almost never online and only posted in a couple of topics, if you ever wanted his help you had to wait ages for his reply... Sad really, he did know his actionscript

Yeah, I saw him post a couple times in the look at this thread. I've been around for a long time (note the sign-up date), I don't know how I missed the bbs for so long.

Oh I never missed it, I just never really liked it... Then I realised the Flash Forum and was addicted to it immediately (sadly times change) and I met all the cool people I wish I could have named in the topic name.... Now they have all gone and I will probably go soon and the next generation will take over. Ehh whats you gonna do... I remember when I first met Titbread, he used to give me heaps of shit, well until the horrid GorillaNuts came.... He had a sprite pic of a gorrilla with his nuts cut off and then everyone flamed him till he disappeared, havent heard since. Then I met IamGod666 (Untitled-1), he was so good and easy to talk to and now we talk heaps on MSN.
Then Dr. Punker came AKA NippleClock, he was new but became good when he made these fan clubs that everyone suddenly liked. Then I met Fargate, an intelligent man that came and went as fast as the wind blows he was never on for very long and posted few but people still admired him, like a trick. Then I met everyone else (including the infamous 7426001) and O-Jay, Tokyo and all. I could keep on forever, times were good back then. Everyone loves memories for some wierd reason. I am rambling again, mainly because I am delaying doing my science homework... So that was a simple thought of what it may have been once.

I hope the next generation of flashers is as helpful as users like you, iamgod666, titbread, drpunker, fargate, emeraldtokyo, 72470001(similar #s), o-jay, and all those i never got a chance to formally meet.

Tit, OK... Tom, the reason I keep getting pissed at _Wizard_ is because he insults people and treats everyone like they're beneath him just because he has more skills in certain areas. I a very good artist by hand. Not that good a Flash Artist yet but my skills are growing. You don't see me insulting others and treating them like they are beneath me. Unless it's my simple fun poking at the Clock Crew and that's for show and parody reasons only. Not to be mean to the people themselves. I know there are a lot of good artists in the CC. I know a few people aren't as good as me but if they practice at it they can obviously surpass me in skill if they apply themselves. Just like some people could probably surpass _Wizard_ at actionscripting if they applied themselves. Everyone has a starting level. He just likes to act like he's a Flash God and like he's the best. Which is what makes me so mad at him. Sure he might help you. Do you think he really respects anyone including you? Respect should be given on equal terms, since he disrespects so much I'm just giving it back. He acts Stuck up, accuses people of being Newbies even if they have some skill. I admit I am a Newbie at Flash and Actionscripting. However I am applying myself and don't plan on being at this level for very long. I have several projects in the works and I'm planning them out bit by bit. So expect to see some nice games from me in about two or three months. I'm going to put a lot of work into it. Yes, I'm gonna be free scripting. I've decided not to enlist the help of any actionscripters. It's best if I do it on my own. And, if I actually pull it off maybe _Wizard_ will show some respect.

I make fun of you because you think you're right simply because you carry a moralisitc/pseudo-mature tone. It's downright manipulative and the way you try to deliver it is (to me) very funny. Of course it's not funny when you do it constantly in every post. It's also BS because you have no intrinsic point. In fact, it's very irratating and full of self inflated drivel. Hence I insult you.

Again, most of the others mentioned above like to bring down newbies instead really helping. Therefore I expose them for their lack of abilities in flash whenever they hurt a newbie or curse them off. I defend newbies from an unnecessary flaming by people who know just a little more.

Not dying ay, There hasnt been a single post here for well over an hour and a half and in that time the most amount of people online was 6! Right now there is four and im still waiting for someone to write something....

i hadnt even seen the join ng button for three or four months since i started visiting ng. and i didnt even notice the forums button for like 2 months after i signed up w/ my current account. i actually had another account that i signed up w/ a long time ago, it was SOADfan1313. i made a new account though, so it was probably a good six months till i noticed the forums button after i signed up. but now i think the forums will attact a bit more cuz now its all shiny and noticable, same w/ the sign up and sign in buttons.
