he didn't hack anything, he is a script kiddie. A lot of people knew what he did in flashregs is possible but FlashRegs relies on good will.

My question is why did you do it in the first place what was there to gain out of it?

I dont find anything cool about fucking around with someones website. Alot of work goes into building a webpage and there are always bound to be flaws and to have someone exploit them aint cool in my books.

heres the thing. i knew what spammy was up to, and i condoned (not so much condoned it, but turned a blind eye towards) it, even as a mod for flashregs. though i had his full assurance that he wasnt going to do anything malicious.

now, i realize that this doesnt put me at fault, but even in a position like i am, im not upset with him. so he screwed with a site. are we missing backups? is it going to take months to restore all the beefy flashregs goodness? was anyone still using the site for its original intent?

if any one of you can honestly answer yes to at least 2 out of the previous 3 questions, then sure, lets all hate spammy. otherwise, lets just give him what he has coming (which is just a bit of stern talking to), and let bygones be bygones.

and inglor, i understand that youre upset, and rightly so. im not saying that youre acting anything but the way you should, but shall we not let a crusade begin. lets get spammy back to NG at least, so that we dont lose one of the few good regs we have left around here.

i know for a fact that three regs have already come to me and asked me how to improve their personal fora against such an attack, and at the risk of sounding heretical, i think spammy should be thanked for that. at the loss of one great site, many others are going to now be prepared for such an event.

lets just restore flashregs, get spammy back to NG (im not sure if im going to go as far as to say he should be allowed back at flashregs), and move the fuck on...

SB makes the forum interesting. He does stupid things, like ratting to RBc about there not really being a no-RBC forum >.<, and deleting FR, and everyone's right to be pissed off about them. But the important thing is that he learns from these stupid things, not to be such an idiot a lot of the time, and that if he ever tries any script kiddying shit like that again he's unlikely to get much out of puberty.

Anyway, long story short, people have every right to be pissed off and mean to Spammy for now, and he should face up to that. But don't forget that by this time in a fortnight or so we'll all have pretty much moved on.

'Zactly. There are tons of legal sites to practice hacking, but hacking non hacker sites is illegal. Let's say Spammy wants to practice his hacking and show how he can hack a flash site, for example, but that flash site gets an income of 750$ per month from ads and pop ups. If naughty Spammy hacks the site and it gets restored only after two weeks, the owners will lose 375$, and if the owner has lawyers naughty Spammy can be in big troubles.

Also why do you mind if AG bans you, you don't get your games sponsored there anyway, do you?

Spammy.. I told you you'd feel guilty. After a while, people will just forget about what you did.. you should just build respect again and continue helping people like this never happened.

There's no point in holding a grudge against spammy if he appoligizes. That will only form hate and make things worse and could have an impact on sometime in the future where someone has a question and if spammy hadn't "quit", he'd be able to help this person.. but he had "quit" so this person couldn't be helped at the time he needed which could have been something important to that person.

Bleh, grudges will just lead to negative consequences.
