Buying that now would be absoloutley rediculous. No game will take advantage of it for an extremely long time. When it finally is useful, the price will be affordable.

Yeah. It's much easier to buy a new graphics card every 5 years or so than buy one that will probably be useless once some new graphics medium/development/technique is made.
