This all seems a little farfetched, though it would explain George Bush's reaction to the first wave of attacks that morning in the schoolhouse. He seemed rather calm.
Actually, I've looked at the tapes, and had the father of a friend of mine who used to do Cold Readings (I.E facial readings) look, and what he is expressing is not "calm", but a mixture of confusion and contemplation.
It would also explain why he didn't read the "documents" that were given to him in August of 2001 at his ranch explaining that Bin Laden was planning an attack.
That's a lot easier to explain. Clinton and his men where the ones pressing for Bush to look into the matter, and it was a man employed by Clinton pushing for a big anti-terrorism plan with the WTC.
If the United States was truly desperate to stir up a second Gulf War, it would seem ideal to have the public's full support. I think after 3,000 deaths and a major attack on the country, most of the general American public wouldn't disagree with attacking Afghanistan, and later Iraq.
No way. Bush knew, going into Iraq, that it would not be a popular descision. Why do you think he made up the WMD lies? Bush never weant into Afghanistan planning on later going to Iraq. He decided on Iraq as an aftermath. Sort of a "Hey... as long as I'm here, I could probably sneak next door all quick like before nobody notices! Heh heh."
But of course, that too is extreme and probably very unlikely. But since this thread is mainly about theories, it doesn't hurt to consider things.
One question; WHY would George Bush do this? If he wanted to go to war in Afghanistan, he didn't need this. Osama was already wanted for acts of terrorism against the U.S and our allies, and the Taliban was already black listed for aiding and abbeting the man. Bush would have only had to assasinate one high up liberal politician, maybe an ex-president, then claim THAT was Osama to set it off again. No reason to kill 3,000 people.

Your telling him to consider his facts when you need to look at yours first. The video is saying that they think the USA was behind the destruction of the pentegon. Not Iraq.
It was Afghanistan :|
Actually, the terrorists where from Saudi Arabia =/
Christ, it's all the same down there anyway.
I'm so sick of this talk about oil. If you truly care to examine the statistics, you would discover that the amount of oil in Iraq is worth about 1.something billion dollars, whereas the funding for the war in Iraq has now reached around 15 billion dollars. I'm just surprised so many people choose to believe it is all about oil.
Besides, we would have invaded Venesuala. Taken out Chavez AND gotten the oil all in one move. Of course, it's to late now; Chav recently ordered 1,000,000 Kolishnikov assault rifles, which he states where soley purchased to defend against an attack by the U.S he calls "inevitable" =/
