It's not bugs that do the trick. For me, it's little girls wearing blood-red jackets. Hiding in the corner of the room, lurking in the shadows, ready to creep up to me.

It's bugs for me because I sometimes have nightmares about a time when I was in spain and I was climbing up a tree. A spanish man told me to stop but I didn't understand him. Suddenly all these ants were crawling on me. I took off my shirt and they were all on my chest. I've had bad dreams about it since. Also, that thing about swallowing 8 spiders a year in your sleep didn't help.

Lies make baby Jesus cry, bitch.

I had to spend a LOOOOOOONG time proving to this guy yesterday that the 9/11 attacks were from 757 planes and not in any way influenced by our government.

He kept coming back with speculations, and i kept kicking him in the balls with facts. He finally stopped trying, I think he got the message.

It sucks quite hard...

But now I feel like i'm going to vomit (I got mild food poisoning from macdonalds earlier and puked up about a liter of stomach acid. I know it's food poisoning because I feel fine except for the assorted vomiting spells. Not to mention it's coming back, so I may be gone for a while...) so I may or may not return tonight.

So I just went and urped about a liter of stomach fluid, and i'm not feeling so hot, so i'm going to lie in bed and try for sleep, seeing as staring at a light and concentrating on a keyboard are not helping matters.

Good night all. Good long, long night...

It's 6:47 a.m. and another night goes by/

Don't know if it's the matress, pain, getting old, or just abuse of body
from age and pills and beer. Pain is always and forever with or without drugs....

Time for the morning joe to kick in!

I try to sleep naked, but I'm afraid I'm going to kick off the blankets and a family member's going to walk in. I usually sleep in boxer briefs. (Ftw indeed.)

And what do I do besides NG early in the morning? I play Runescape. Why? Because it's fun as hell to yell around screaming that your dick is larger than life and watching all hte little 10 year olds run away. Because I never sleep, I'm at a very high level, I sold my previous account for $160 >:)
Loser games FTW!

I play Gunbound occasionally. I refresh the portal every few minutes and vote on the new submissions. I also watch Adult swim, but right now it's boring stuff like "Big-O"; give me some Tom Goes to the Mayor!

Let's see here. Right now it's nearly 5AM, an appropriate time to find an "Insomnia Club", lol.

I've had this issue for years now. I blame it mainly on technology, it's completely fucked up my biological clock. Staying up all night playing video games, for example. One thing that I leanred, the kiss of death for insomniac-prone people would have to be MMO's, for sure. Console gaming, i'm able to keep relatively under control. When it comes to addictive long-term games, though, wooooo. I once went almost 3 days without sleep, due to piling on school, a MMO, and a "social life" all at the same time. So fucking unhealthy.

Typical time I go to sleep is 4AM, it's relatively.. reasonable. 2AM would be ideal. I'd like to eventually get myself back into tip-top shape, instead of feeling like a zombie through out the day, then get sudden surges of energy at night.

When I wake up, it really depends. Sometimes i'll pull an all-nighter, sometimes i'll get a couple hours of sleep, and sometimes i'll get a full 6 hours in there. I don't have a recurring time dependent daily schedule. I do try and get my morning yoga and jogging in there, though. It keeps me more level headed, without it I go a tad crazy.

So, rah rah rah to you insomniacs! ;D The night life is so exciting, isn't it?

Yeah. One time I couldn't get to sleep and got out of bed to look out the window. Then there was all this lightening on a field near us and I saw the whole thing. Everybody missed it but me. The same thing once happened with me and my sister but we saw a fox instead.

So I did not sleep last night. I layed in bed feeling like shit for 8 fucking hours. I got up a few times (Sara, I know exactly what you mean by "sudden surges of energy at night") and started hitting things simply exploding in rage. I spent the ENTIRE time going over fight scenarios in which I brutalized people (3 people that i particularly hate) in my mind. For eight hours i did this. I would often sit up and start breathing heavily out of rage, or hit something, that kind of thing.

I had to lie still between 4 am and 7 am though because my mom was up and I did not want to attract her atention, because after an insomniac night like this one she often makes me stay at home and try (and fail) to sleep during the day.

I also neglected to eat for the past 20 hours because I have had no appetite (until now) and food tasted like dirt. Not to mention that fruit loops were AGONY because the stomach acid in my vomit eroded the lining on the roof of my mouth near the throat. They tasted good, but felt like a knife in the skull.

I sure picked an appropriate night to join the insomniac club... this is the worst night for me in a month because I was kind of sick and hungry as hell but couldn't eat anything because the hunger was all in my stomach. I hate the mornings after these nights too, I am insanely hungry (especially during school when i flop out of bed at 5 or 6 to find something to do for an hour or two) but I don't want to eat because NOTHING looks good at all, and if I drink water it feels like swallowing a rock so I go hungry and thirsty until mid-day when I can finally ingest anything.

And with all of this shit, I STILL have four hours of work to look forward to later... but at least my job is easy.

AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!! You got me good.

You should always try to eat after a night like that. I spent ages awake one night due to nerves about the brickfields running competion and when I finally got to sleep I had an entomophobiaic dream where I was being eaten alive by a giant cockroach. The next day I kept thinking there was cockroachs and bugs in my food and didn't eat for a day and a half. I failed the race and didn't get into brickfields. My teacher said it was because I hadn't eaten and that after a night like that you should eat even more, even if the food tastes disgusting, because else you won't get your energy back.

The difference in time between our nations is slowly killing me. I just stare at meaningless topics and blank screens during the day, waiting for the interesting users to log on to NG. Today was even worse. I usually like rainy days, but for some reason, I wasn't able to enjoy anything at all today. Or yesterday. Or the day before that. Music, books, video games...everything seems to fade away into a black hole of nuisances and meaningless existence.

I think I might have to much free time on my hands.

If I would be able to sleep, that's what I would propably be spending most of my spare time on.

Man, I think I just slept the longest I've ever slept in my lifetime :D

Last night when I went off NG, I went straight to my bed.
It took me an hour to realize that I wasn't going to fall asleep anytime soon. So, I just walked downstairs and watched a movie and ended up falling asleep on the couch. Isn't it amazing how we can fall asleep in everyday places but in the one place we are meant to fall asleep we just can't manage it?

lol

I know I should always try to eat after these nights, but i'm pretty sure I mentioned that I was doing Aderol yesterday, which makes it almost physically impossible to eat for about 15-20 hours.

When i'm at my dad's house I generally sleep on the couch instead of my bed because it's much more comfortable. It's also a smallish house and I have to share it with my sister and my dad's girlfriend's two little girls, so I just let them take the bedroooms and jack the couch for myself.

Usually at nights I eat a small amount of food from supper, and wrap a large meal. Later I do my stuff and when its extreamly late I heat it up. I than heat up a glass of milk and eat than try to go to sleep. It helps alot. And wombat, if you think their bugs than try to eat spreaded food like a flat bowl of soup or cut your food into lots of pieces.

Of all the things that would make my sleep worse, nightmares are not one of them. What most people consider a nightmare I enjoy. I only have these dreams at most once or twice a YEAR, as most of the very few dreams I ever remember having involve me killing people or doing other things that you guys probably don't want to know about. But they're all positive dreams, so I guess I have a very healthy psyche or something.

So really you don't have nightmares. I envy you. One of the main reasons I can't sleep is because nearly every 3 nights I have a nightmare, usally involving insects. Maybe it's because you never have anything unhappy in your life? Nightmares reflect the sad or scary things of the day, maybe you only rarely have these days?

I never ever nightmares, because I never dream. There is only one dream I've ever been able to recall, and I have it occasionally. Some people wake up, and know what they dreamt that night, they just forget it after a couple of seconds. Not me. I never wake up wit hthe image of a dream imprinted in my mind, and oly rarely wake up with an odd feeling.

So, I don't have nightmares. Well, not anymore at any rate. I used to when I was younger. I had nightmares every single night. One of the reasons I'm an insomniac suppose. Bad memories. They tend to keep me awake.

Would a blind man need to know about colours? Would he benefit from this? Would it matter to him? No. Whether or not I subconsiously dream, doesn't matter, as I am unable to remember them.
