Not at all, as long as they conform to the topic. Unrelated chats are what the PM system was introduced for.

That sentence seems coherent.

He missed an 'e' off 'one'. Besides that it makes perfect sense to me.

Oh, I'm not angry. I just would like to know why this club is still open.

Why should it be locked? Is it breaking any rules?

Firstly, you said conversation, not discussion, there is a difference

More importantly, stop your crusade of hate on this club and do something constructive instead, like I just made this heart out of right guard and socks, I'M SPREADING THE LOVE!

Personally, I think this is just the start of a lovely cat fight.

Charlotte, you're acting dense on purpose, I know you aren't as dumb as you are making yourself out to be in this thread.

I'm letting this thread stay open, because I am sick of people acting like it's a terrible thing for people to not have had sex in their life.

If you want to join, you can. We won't hold it against you.

Isn't it against the rules to request a lock?

Also, I think the last 4 pages are seriously off-topic. A shame, really.

You either choose not to have sex for whatever various reasons, or you're prevented from doing so for other reasons.

All right. I've been trying to figure out what the hell you want to know about this club beyond the dense statement of "omg it should be closed", and now i'm going to assume from your post here, that it's a matter of trying to understand the sides and depth of this topic. Yet again a matter which if you had read through the previous posts of this club you would understand, but i'll expound for you.

Beyond virginity, and the various reasons for people taking participation in the lifestyle, this club also opens up discussion for the analyzation of the human behavioral pattern and lifestyle. It deals with issues of:

- Our society's views on sexuality

- Peer pressure
* Schools, friends, popularity and how to handle these issues.

- Cultural differences
* Impact of home life, race, moralistic views, etc.

- Religious variations
* Belief systems, maritial issues, etc.

- Governmental views
* State-to-state, laws and regulations, etc.

- Media influence;
* Music, movies, fashion, etc.

- Psychological impact
* Choices, reasons, and consequences.

You know, I could keep this list going for a while. Are you beginning to understand now, though, Charlotte? Or shall I keep going for you?

So you're saying that my asking about the relevance of this topic is not related to it?

He missed an 'e' off 'one'. Besides that it makes perfect sense to me.

That much is clear, although I don't whore my "bobs" nor backseat mod.

Why should it be locked? Is it breaking any rules?

1. I never said that it should, and if you think that's what I'm implying, that's not my fault.
2. If whether a topic breaks any rules or not is the measure of whether it should stay open, then a lot of the locked and deleted threads were done so completely unjustly.

At 8/4/06 03:04 PM, WilliWowza wrote: Firstly, you said conversation, not discussion, there is a difference

Conversation has a good number of synonyms, one of which is discussion.

Or am I?

Okay, so how would this make that stop?

Then this isn't actually a virgin club, it's a sex-related issues club.

Which all are already discussed in Politics and General.

Fine Charlotte, get modded, and you lock it.

rofl, oh WAIT, you can't!

LOLOL.

And that's all the time I'm wasting responding to you, because you're trying to make an issue for no reason except estrogen related, which is stupid and petty.

I'm not locking it, it breaks no rules, and we've had conversation in here. Shit, what more do you want from a club? Established rules and a member calling card?

Maybe we'll start a story competition so it's more legitimate.

Darling, you asked for the sides. I am trying to get the point across that the topics are not -just- limited to virginity. What I mentioned, are topics all interconnected with virginity. Point being, it branches out for interesting discussions amongst the members. That does not mean that the essence of the club is just that. I'll repeat for you just as much as you repeat your same point.

I'm simply trying to help you understand. You're having so much trouble with this, and.. we're here to help you, Charlotte. You can stay in here as long as you like. ;)

Okay, this is getting a little bit out of control. This site is starting to lose the signifigence it had just begun building up, due to the user known as Charlotte, however sad I find it to say this. I don't like to point out anyone, whine, or complain, but seriously, the only thing that has happened over the past 3 pages was Charlotte flaming this thread, and getting flamed in return. I think this is sad, as it is completely and utterly meaningless. What could have been a nice thread, where decent discussions could have been held, has come under fire. I, for one, do NOT like this. I don't understand the reasons for this either.

So, I have 2 suggestions to make.

1) Charlotte, overall, I think you're a nice user. But I just don't agree with the way you're posting on this thread. So either post decently, or don't bother posting at all.

2) Should you find this unacceptable, I suggest to the other users to ignore anything Charlotte posts on this thread, form here on on.

I'm sorry. I really am. You're a nice user, and a regular. Two things for which I like you.
So it pains me to have said this.

Alrighty, now i'm going to make another point. You find virginity to be pointless, and that a club created for pro-virgins is a waste of time, right? Well, you see, like I had mentioned before, it's all a matter of a difference of opinion. Of course I knew there was going to be opposition toward this subject when I created the club. But that display of opposition only reinforces why this club is here. It's not just here on the internet that people are quick to judge, and consider frivolous these decisions, but it's also a contributing factor in the outside world as well.

Commence assumptions on my personality.

No assumptions, it boils down to how you present yourself that I come to conclusions about your personality.

No, I don't.

See above. Your conclusion was wrong, making it an assumption simply because I present myself on purpose to prompt such a reaction.

Until I feel like letting you know me, any conclusions you make about my personality are wrong. And that'd require me being your friend, which I'm not at the moment. ^___^

Let's both not waste our time; I'm not interested in posting more in this club, and you're not going to help me in any way unless I let you. You can forget that I ever posted here, I'm quite done.

A rather pointless concept in my opinion. You can not undo the act of having sex, so you can not be a born again virgin as I see it.

The only way to get back your virginity is to turn back time and not sleep with whoever it was that you lost your virginity to.

Whislt its sort of...noble ( best word I can think of) that certain people want to start all over again and undo the mistakes they have made in the past, its pointless, as they won't be undone.

Well its kinda pointless isn't it. You'd know that you wouldn't still be a virgin and I think fooling men whilst knowing you're a liar is horrible.
Plus you can never be a born again virgin. Just someone with a restored hymen.

However what really annoys me about this is the whole 'Saying young' thing. It gets on my nerves. Why can't people just be natural and except that natural beauty is far better than false cosmetic products.

Charlotte, I monitor the C&C pretty well (at least when it comes to new clubs, I don't do much digging through old ones), and I've checked in and out of this thread many times to see if it should stay or not, because I was weary of how well it would do. It seems to be doing just fine though, and I don't see a reason for it to be locked. They're discussing things more than just saying, "Hey, I'm a virgin too!"

I've also been popping in and out of this thread since it began, because I kept wanting to post in it, as I do not agree with some of these reasons behind why you should keep your virginity, but I don't want to accidently start up some giant heated debate... Or do I >:)

I've been refurbished and reissued, prepackaged and precooked, decontaminated and deloused, but I still smell, sound, look and feel like shit.

Yay! Joining this club because...well, i'm a virgin : / But not only that, I can't fucking stand how much emphasis there is on sex nowadays, especially as a teenager, I mean you can't go through about an hour without someone talking about sex or losing their virginity to someone they got drunk and met outside a concert or something. It gets very old after the 13th time ¬_¬

So the majority feels that because they participated in the physical act of losing their virginity previously, that even through "spiritual cleansing" and possible reconstructive surgery (in regards to the female), it's impossible to ever reach that status of "pure" ever again? I suppose that this asks the question of just how much does the act of sex have to do with spirituality, physicality, and menality. It's true that you cannot reverse time and take back what you did, but perhaps they see it as a forgiveness and a new beginning. A way for a fresh start. Kind of like how one is forgiven for their sins, cleansed so to speak, and strives to lead a better life afterwards.

I'm trying to see this from both perspectives. Personally, I side with the fact that once that decision is made, it is something they have to deal with for the rest of their lives. I see no problem with forgiving and accepting yourself for an unsavory past, making ammends and moving on the wiser. That's actually commendable. But to go as far as to consider yourself completely absolved is questionable, and the process of the surgery is a rather ridiculous concept. You simply cannot erase a whole part of yourself, but you -can- improve.

I agree with that to a certain extent. I feel like cosmetic products can be used to enhance a woman's beauty, boosting her self confidence. This is wonderful. After all, we all strive for beauty, in some form or another. On the other hand, it should not be used as a means to "cover up" and "disguise". Like some women I know, will not leave their house without being fully made up. It is hard for them to come to terms with themselves as they are naturally, not feeling adequate in public unless they look a certain "acceptable" way. This perfection obsessed mentality can be dangerous, and without the right preventive measures, it can grow far, far worse. It extends to drastic measures like plastic surgery, an increased waste of money on products, and a low self esteem. I know this is said a lot, but really, beauty has to come from the inside before it reflects on the outside.

Haha, if you want to share your opinion, that's fine. It's just as accepted as the next person's, even if it creates a debate. ;)
