A long time ago, Tom Fulp wanted something else to add to his ever-growing website, newgrounds.com. He thought that music would be the proper direction for this monumental addition, but he just could not figure out what to do. So, for months and months, he prayed. He prayed that God would send him an idea, or even better, the finished product so newgrounds could become the largest globule of awesomeness on the internet. Well, one night, when everyone important was asleep and the rest were submitting lousy excuses for flash movies, A little trifle of dust blew through the pearly gates. That dust found it's way to the throne and into God's nose. God sneezed and the AP was created in a flash of spit and mucous from the heavens. This heavenly mixture landed on Tom Fulp's server and when he woke up the next morning, he found himself with a really great idea.
And that is how the Audio Portal came into existence.
