I was just flicking through some of my reviews, filtering through all the abusive/constructive one, then I came across this review:
"This shit is fucking boring , not only it's not funny but i dosen't have any action in it! I think you can do better!"
Now, it's not the first sentence that I took much notice of, but it was the second, in conjunction with "it doesn't have any action in it". I thought about this for a few seconds, and I thought, sure, maybe it hasn't, but ultimately, does action really make for a good flash animation? I mean sure, action is always interesting, just seeing the major ass-whooping is awesome, and when I put my mind to it, I probably could pull it off. But sometimes "action" ruins a flash. In a major example, can you see the touching 9/11 flashes having the same impact if they have someone kicking someone else's ass? My opinion of that is no.
I like animations to achieve what they set out to do. If they're meant to highlight some oddity, or if they're there for comedy, you don't always need action.
