There are a few differences between the AF cleanup thread and the AP cleanup thread.
One of those differences is that there are quite a few moderators that easily can learn what tendencies the Forum have (talking bout the AF Cleanup), and see what threads frequenters feel repeat themselves or requires moderation in any other way.
As for the AP cleanup, there´s very few people who can actually DO something about the issue in question. Most administrators are busy with their specific assignements their position in NG requires them to do, and since they get paid to o their job, they probably have little time over for cleaning up things like this. HOWEVER, we HAVE been directed to WADE FULP with these kinds of questions. And Wade, as a professional administrator, should take these things seriously, as I´m sure he does.
The problem is that he most likley gets alot of e-mails/requests every day, wich probably makes it difficult for him, especially when he gets requests wich contains too little information, meaning he can´t do anything about the request in question.
However, this was about the thread here, and I belive a thread like this should be authorised by Wade Fulp, since he´s the one who should take care of things like this. he should get information about this thread, so that he regularly can drop in and see what´s new, or so.
That is, IF HE AGREES to a thread like this.
AF cleanup is authorised by Denvish, and if that thread fails and gets fucked one way or another, he will make sure it gets locked.
As should be the case with a thread like this.
My suggestion here is that you, SadSpoon, write Wade an e-mail and request to open up a thread like this. Let Wade see what this is all about, and try to get him involved in a positive manner.
Let him know that there are alot of NG users that are willing to help him out with finding audio that breaks the "rules for submitting audio" on NG.
Also, I would suggest, if he agrees, that you really think this through and actually re-create the thread, with CLEAR rules, and also a couple of good quotes from the rules, so that there will be no "greyzone" or fully legal audios in this thread.
Example for rules like this could be that the original source of the song in question must be written down, and linked to if possible. Also a description of what part that is stolen should be nessecary, for example.
You find whatever rules you think should be for a thread like this, present the idea + the rules for Wade Fulp, then he can decide what he think is best to do with it.
