Another free download for anyone who's interested.

To celebrate the release of their compilation 'Natural Environments' and various Herb artists albums 'Herb' have kindly released a free to download mix titled 'Mixed Herbs' produced by Rubens(Gump), one of Herbs featured artists.
It showcases the labels sound and is well worth a listen....

I believe that is for advertising tracks that are on Newgrounds, this is a seperate thread entirely and is not advertising a specific track/person on this site, but a free download of a mix.
Yes this thread is not newgrounds orientated, so perhaps should not be here, but it's advertising free independent music.

You're shitting me right? KB's just giving a few tracks away - it's hardly like the "hey come check out my music" topics that pop up from time to time.

Considering that NG posted an all forums sticky to talk about him when he first got signed I don't think anyone around here will mind if he makes a topic or two to allow us to download full sets.

Steve's intentions are clear and good.

Advertisements of any kind do apply to the rules.

An example are the musicians that link their music to their myspace profiles; they are redirected and locked, because if any advertisements are allowed, then they become loopholes in the system that people will take advantage of in an instant.

Contrary to belief or what anyone has noticed, looking at Kingbastard's posting record can you tell that he has been advertising as well as reviewing music.

But, I can agree that this is an exception, like all the other times, because people actually enjoy his music. But that doesn't mean he is completely void of being corrected.

To be honest I thnk the difference is that this is something ppl actually will check out, and therefore the rules can be bended slightly.
KB is a regular of high standards, and SOME priviledges should tthe ones who help out a little more get I guess?

This will however raise the question "who can adv. outside the adv. thread", but seeing this is no self adv. it makes it slightly more legit.

its kind of the same thing as when regulars start spamming up a thread... everyone think theyre having a great time, and no regular interferes, really... Despite the fact it´s clearly against the rules. Well, this is at least music related, made by a highly respected frequenter... Face it, frequenters have hijacked this forum LOOONG ago :) But yeah, it IS against the rules.

Not by a long shot. This is definatly one of the better ambient mixes i've ever listened to. As the ambient fan i am, i can't thank you enough to provide me with this link ;)
