You post responses to people, then go back and forth while discussing nothing new or anything relating to the topic at hand.

I disagree. I think it shows dedication in some way shape or form to the bbs, whether it's making great articulate and well thought out posts or making short stupid remarks thousands of times. Either way it shows loyalty and dedication. The truth is is that we need someone to look up to and show us what a true ng fan is.

Yeah in a way post counts' segregate members of NG. The higher posters usually meet requirements others can't meet (for example, duck sig). It does show the attatchment to the site, however, and can help distinguish more mature members from kids (sometimes, but its better to read the profiles) by the # of posts.

IDK, maybe postcounts should be in profiles, but maybe not on the forums...
