Just don't listen to anything that was released after "Metallica" (AKA The Black Album). The stuff after that sucks and is barely Metal.

Yeah. St. Anger? Holy shit. That's brutality.

Master of Puppets Battery Disposible Heroes Fade to Black Ride the Lightning ...And Justice For All Blackend Whiplash Seek and Destroy
Try to avoid anything from "Load", "Re-Load", and at all costs stay away from "St. Anger".

Listen to it and form your own opinions about it, it's not that hard.

My all time favourite song by Metallica is "Orion" from the Master of Puppets album. It is, by far the best composed metal song I've ever heard. It follows classical music structuring for the whole song, and its all instrumental. Cliff Burton was a genius.
PM me to snitch out other forum users I did what? Shut the fuck up, no I didn't. I did? Fuck. Bacon Infused Vodka?

Not a huge fan of Metallica, but I'd say One, Master of Puppets and St. Anger would be my favourite ones. Bare in mind I don't own any albums, I just like them.

Don't listen to anyone who says everything after the Black Album sucks - some of their best work comes from Load/Reload. Try
No Leaf Clover Master of Puppets Enter Sandman - Human King Nothing Until it Sleeps.
Those are all legendary

Indeed he was. It's a good song, if you're a musician and can appresiate it. To a Metallica Newbie, I'd recommend the list I already made though.

The Black Album and everything after that is pussy. St. Anger is pretty heavy though, If you like softer music try load, reload, Black album, but if you like the heavier stuff try Kill em All but if you cany decide just get the Garage Inc CDs. They didnt right those songs but its kickass
