Then you open paint or any other image program, save the file as whatever, then hit alt+v. :)

are there any programs that come with windows 98 that allow you to save as .jpg? I NEED PHOTOSHOP!

Well, I get bored of my desktops pretty fast, I change them every 2 days or weeks, depending on how much I like it. I'm gonna post my favorites, here's the first one:

I think you *should* be able to save images as .jpgs in MSPaint. If JPEG isn't listed in the "Save as type" area, try opening a JPEG in MSpaint first, then closing MSPaint and reopening. If you still can't save as JPEG, you don't have the graphic filters which don't come with MSPaint - but may be on your computer through other programs (such as Microsoft Word).
