I find the biggest problem with people who come to me trying to push gay marriage is that they're like the Jehova's Witness, you practically have to chase them away with a gun. They claim to be all tolerant and junk. I find that the people who take the most pleasure in being tolerant are the most intolerant.

BTW: I'm a serious Roman Catholic. What of it? I was against Gay marriage before I really believed in my faith.

Gay people should not be allowed to marry, for one simple reason: Marriage is a Christian Ceremony, and the Christian bible specifically say's homosexuality is wrong. I can really agree with this statement.

I believe I have mentioned my girlfriend is/was of Roman catholic up bringing. One of her sisters is here from out west visiting & one of the oldest sisters was talking about going to mass, & the visiting sis says she has been excommunicated for going forward with a divorce from her husband.

She is not allowed to go to her church and participate in all the hoopla.
I could tell that this is something that really bothers her, and even though the husband caused the rift & was caught cheating, the priest believed they should 'forgive & move on'. She though ,had enough of him & got a divorce.(smart girl in my mind, that's why I'm divorced)
I cannot at this time think of a better reason not to be involved with such a fucked up group of so called religious people.

Cuppa, not everyone believes the same things as you. And weddings are joinings of two people who love each other. And I know 2 gays who are married, not religious at all. If they are happy, I say my peace.

Most people who think gay people shouldn't be allowed to marry just sounds like idiots. There is almost never any good arguments, and the underlying tone of hate for gays is so obvious that it isn't even funny.

Christianity did not invent marrige, nor does Christinaity have single rights on marriage today. You can't control others people's lives like that because you don't like how they live. What are you going to do if gay couples marrry out of country? Go to war?

Religion has no right, or authority (nor does anyone else for that matter) to say what couple (regardless of sex) can get married and who cant. UNLESS they couple in question are apart of these religion groups who bash gays in which it is their own dam fault.

You make a fair point, the only reason why they don't want gays to get married is because they simply hate gays and most of them use religion as an excuse. They claim that gays will go to hell if they get married but if God hates them that much then they are going there anyway, and why do people care about strangers souls? Religion is indeed an excuse. But the real problem is the people that are religious may be against gays, fusing it with their religion, people start to become against gays. Now I am not a gay supporter, but I still have the right to not like the idea.

It was but it's so materialised and pointless that the religious celibration is lost. All they are celebrating are the coming together of a couple which is why people from different religions and races are getting married. Religion has no opinion in modern society.

Lets use an example. Pretend it was written in the Bible somewhere that Ice cream was banned. Do you think it's going to stop people from eating it? Of course not.

Not from the state. Marriage can't be all that religious if it allows two Atheists to marry under the state. Churches can ban marriages of people they don't want to marry in their churches... but their influence should not invade the state's responsibility to serve all people equally in respects of the law.
