Music shouldn't be about color, so when it comes to Rap Genre, any white person will be made out as a poser when not all of them Rap about what so many people on this forum generalize about. But, it's easier that way, simply because ignorance is bliss, and learning something hurts them. Meh, more on 2Pac, his father was a Black Panther, and in the beginning, he may've turned out to be different if only he had made the right choices in his life, but it was those same choices which made his music what it is.

Ever did research on Long Beach? The asians there really don't have an "American culture" of their own. DSG, in every Gang that is like Crips, there are sub factions in them. It's hard to explain, but there are some factions in those gangs that actually split up races at times, not on purpose, just area wise. But remember though, on this forum, almost everyone believes that if you're not black and talking about gang signs, you're a poser.

Heh, I think you should know where I live. The Crips aren't a specific gang. It's a type of gang, just like the 13's, 14's or Bloods. Other gangs like the 18st are just 18st. Another example would be TRG which is spread around the U.S and is in Long Beach. They use their own color, the gray rag, but they claim blood as well. Later, I see them with things like bK. Confusing idiots.

Ja! Over here, Crips will dress in all red just because they can and because they don't care if they cause trouble over it. There are some rappers that claim gangs, just to sell more CD's. Don't remember the specific ones, though.

Nappy Roots is another exeception, they are quite good. Once again though, back on topic though, music shouldn't be about what gang you came from or what skin color you are, but for some reason, it's still that way. 2Pac in ways at times seem indifferent about the gang issue, but stayed true to his music and poetry. You look at my profile and you'll see an excerpt of "The Rose" and you'll see how good his material was.
