Well, I downloaded a phpBB forum just the way it said, I deleted contrib, install, and doc directories. However, when I try to enter the administrative portal, it just shows me a blank screen! I think that the problem is that the php script isn't spawning a temporary html file, but I don't know how to solve it. I reinstalled it already. Can you help me with the problem? (No, I can't give you a link to the forum.... sorry.)

You removed the doc directory? I think that might be your problem...I've never removed it before.

Admin.php isn't a file - you go into the directory "admin" to administrate phpBB.

So, foobar.com/forumz/admin would be the path, not foobar.com/forumz/admin.php

Oh sorry. Then how about this: My admin/index.php isn't working. Better?

I understand you're trying to help, but I'm not a moron. I clicked on the administration portal, and it gave me a blank page. The administration portal leads to admin/index.php, which is not spawning an html file for me to work with and edit the forum. The same thing happens when I use the login and logout.php files; I get a blank page.

Now that you understand a bit better, could you please help me?

Well, thats a very different thing then what you were describing. A non existent page would be the cause for a blank page, obviously.

Perhaps you've fumbled up somewhere in your template installation - have you checked to make sure that ALL package files were installed properly?

Could be the php installed on the server isn't up to date making some functions unavaliable for the site to properly render it's admin/login pages.
