Problems with flash

Got a problem and I'll try to keep it short. I'm New to newgrounds and I'm looking to create and submit some material of my own. Problem is I can't afford Flash 8 Pro or even Flash 7 at this point and I'd really like to get ideas out of my head before they get lost all together.
In no way am I asking about piracy. Dose Macromedia provide any flash programs for free, or dose anyone know of a comparible application?
I really don't need anything high-tech. If not it's alright, although, I don't think everyone can afford a $700 program even though I'm sure it must be an exceptional program. Any response about this situation would be greatly appreciated.

You can get a 30 day trial like I did...Im pretty sure you'll find it if you type in Macrmedia flash 8 on google. Thats how I did it.

You can get a student version (with student ID) for 100 dollars but then you can't make money off your flashes, dunno why. And then there is ebay where you can find it for cheap, but mostly older flash versions.

Discussion of piracy (especially pertaining to Macromedia Flash) is NOT allowed and will result in a ban. Stop and think. NG is a Flash based web site. It's not too crazy to assume that Macromedia may check in from time to time.

No need to get pissy, and freeware like the games on this very site, Doom by John Romaro and some other early arcade style games can be downloaded for free at their owners sites. I was asking about FREEWARE, but if you just like speeding through the forums untill you find something to obsess over then I guess the forum is ultimatley useless. Seeing that Flash 8 Pro is available, making the assumption that Macromedia would simply give away copies of their original version of Flash wouldn't be so far off base. In fact it's good buisness sense.

The cheapest way would have to be from Ebay. And you can also get great tutorials from there aswell. But there is another way to use it for free. Some schools have Flash MX 2004 installed on computers and you'll most likely use it in the subject I.T (Information Technologie).
