Kay, you guys don't understand. I got my cartilidge pierced and my dad ripped that one right out. :) He wouldn't hesitate to do that with any of the aforementioned.

You can't...do what I did and wait until you're legal. Besides, I'd advise against getting them so young, I pierced my own lip when I was 15 and now I have a scar and I deeply regret it...that and piercings really aren't that cool and they get imfected easily...I've had over 6 piercings and I can tell you, infections really suck, especially in areas with alot of nerve endings like the lip.

Either wait till your 18 or get a 18 year old friend to pose as your sister and sign the form. Also piercings can be fun, and addictive, but then can be a hassle, and they give you a sterotypical look, most people can't look at a person with piercings and see beyond them.

Piercings may seem cool now, but you'll just look sad at 26.

My big problem is that piercings in the name of individuality or self-gratification/adornment/pleasure is a very self-oriented act. However, deny it as much as you want, America is a society that values social conformity. With that said, Individuality is the antithesis of social conformity. You can only be as much of an individual as society will allow you to be. Those who dislike that can ofcourse withdraw from mainstream society to form a subculture to express individuality....However, it requires a damaging distance from the rest of the world, which isn't that great when you consider that humans need social stimulation.

We did...and that's our advice! Don't insult us because we don't say exactly what you want to hear bitch. We are intelligent...because we're older and we've been through where you have. I fought with my parents over letting me get pireced, they didn't bend, so I did it myself and got so infected I had to go to the hospital, so I know what I'm talking about. I waited until i was 18, and now I'm happy as hell with my piercings now, and I had the common sense to get ones not as obvious, because you can't even work in McDonalds with facial piercings, let alone go to medical school like I am. Stop being a brat.
