I can't be a newbie! No one has over 1200 posts and still be declared a newbie! Well, maybe . . .
Here's how I see how people can go from newbie to non-newbie.
1. Have a couple posts. If you're in the double-digits, you're still a newbie.
2. Be memorable. I post something that always refers to me (such as Lil' TFX and other miscellaneous pics). Or post in a certain style (take a look at Adambomb for instance)
3. Have movies/games in the Portal. This helps everyone. I have no less than 2 movies and 2 games etched into the Portal. And they are all memorable for different people.
In conclusion, if you have 85 posts, type 'r' instead of 'are' and 'u' instead of 'you' and have absolutely nothing in the Portal, absolutely, you're a newbie.
by your standards, you are a newbie to me. memorable portal submission?
infact a majority of BBS users would be newbies according to your regulations. what the fuck does submissions to the the portal have anything to do with the BBS? we might occasionally talk about the portal, but not much.
in conclusion: submissions to the portal don't constitute anbody as a newbie...
now that we've had some input from some relatively new people (TFX, Infinity303, etc.), let's ask some of the old skool NG'ers. i'd like to know pantomine_horse's take on the subject.
speaking of old skoolers: i'm wondering, who is the oldest BBS resident still here? panto, i'm guessing you...
