Ok, so I started dating this girl about 1.5 months ago, and we just adore each other. I love her, and she loves me too. And we've decided that we're going to wait to have sex or do anything else because we don't want to rush the relationship. So, I was talking to her on AIM earlier today (she's in Germany for an exchange program, but she's coming back on Thursday) and apparently her mum messaged her on Myspace (we all have Myspaces) talking to her about what's going on after we pick her up at the airport. Which is fine and dandy. But then her mum says something along the lines of, "We also need to talk about more serious things. Like how serious is your relationship with Graeme? And are you willing to 'give it up' to him? It's ok if you are, and ultimately it's not my decision. But if you are, we need to go to the store to get the necessary 'things.' I'm not blatantly giving you permission, but I'm just preparing you for something that'll change your whole life."

I'm sorry. Did I totally miss something? or did she just give my girlfriend the "go ahead" to fuck me? I know that she said, "I'm not blatantly giving you permission," but I think that she pretty much did. Does this mother trust me or what? Is it a trap? What the hell? Help me, fellow Newgrounders.

hmmmm, this story sounds just like my tribe story....although it wasn't so happy ending the pretty much kept feeding me and feeding me and thought we were all cool for eachother...till I got fat and then they roasted me....moral of the story....don't trust her to quickly.

I would kill myself if I had a mother like that. Don't get me wrong, but I think parents who think it's okay for their children to have sex with someone they don't know very well to be fucked up. I mean come on, you know you guys are gonna break up. Let her save it for marriage. Would you rather marry a girl who dated, kissed, and had sex with more than one guy? Or would you rather marry a girl who never loved anyone (or "gave it up", for that matter) other than you?

Yeah dude, I know what you're saying. But I seriously and honestly think that I'm going to go far with this girl. It sounds just like every other teenage romance, but I "love" her. She's like no one I've ever been around before. She and I just "work" together. I can't explain it without using too many cliches. :P

You obviously don't know how many times I've heard that. But I'm not the one to know for sure. Who knows? You might actually stick with her for years to come by.

If she is 16 like you I think her mom is a little off balance and had a bit too much fun as a child. I mean its great and all that she wants her daughter to be safe about it, but I don't know why a parent would ever encourage a kid still in highschool to have sex. It has me at a loss.

Anyway, wait if you do decide to do it untill you know that you are going to stick with her. It wouldn't be fair to either of you and it shows a lack of respect.

Yeah, I'd agree with what most of you are saying. I'm not going to take this as a "free fuck" opportunity. I don't really agree with sex outside of marriage unless you're planning to get married, and you've been dating for a long time.

Arab_freak, I bet you have heard that a lot. And I don't blame you for saying that we're going to break up. I'm just saying that, despite the number of people who say what I do, and the number who break up, I think that I am going to be with this girl for the rest of my life, if circumstances permit. I love her.
