I'm gonna order this book to learn PHP and MySQL.

What do you think of it and where do you suggest I learn it?

Yeah dummies books are crap, if you want a book that's less advanced and good for just starting out, check this out:
http://www.amazon.co..=glance&n=266239
It was my first PHP book and I really recommend it.

Definately stay away for dummies books, they are awful.

I used "Spring into: PHP 5 " to learn php, it has stuff on on mySQL too.

Any of the above books will do you fine.

I found w3schools's section was more than enough to learn PHP and MySQL.

As for where to learn it, if you mean a host to practice with, I recomend 275mb. I had some problems with embedded images there, but the PHP and MySQL features where fine.

I read the dummies book... if you ever saw anything about programming, DON'T READ IT. It's annoying that they talk 5 chapters on how variables work, really.

or even better 1500mb Has the same kind of thing, and they offer subdomains as well as free hosting. It's a great thing to practice on also.
