I have lately been scarred by two films and the other I just enjoyed, one of them being Hong Kong horror, and the other two being japanese. The first of the three that I saw was the Hong Kongian one, called "Dumplings". It's about this lady who is being rejected by her husband, so she goes to a cook who makes dumplings that are a sort of fountain of youth. These
so-called "dumplings" replenish her skin... One day she asks whats in them. She gets a lovely reply of... it cuts off there. You see a scene where the dumpling lady goes to a hospital and buys something from a doctor. It cuts to the wife and the Dumpling Lady talking about the crunchiness of the bones in the dumplings, how you can see the tiny cranium. From here on it becomes obvious what she's using for the meat. Seeing a movie about a lady eating aborted faetuses will scar you too. The next two movies weren't disturbing, but they were good and creepy. I saw the original "Ju-on" , not the crap american remake, and a very odd and creepy movie called "Suicide Club", awhich opens up with 54 schoolgirls counting down at a bus stop. "One... and a two... and a three!!!" 54 teenagers jumping in front of a train right before it comes is pretty gory, if you can imagine it. It has a good n' scary scene where a bunch of teenagers are imitating the suicide on the train, then a whole bunch of other kids join in. "A one and a two and a three!!!" Then all but three teenagers jump off. You realize that they thought everyone was joking. Guilt trips overcome them, and one of the three jumps off and forces another kid off. The last girl is so scarred for life, and guilty, she proudly exclaims "Suicide Club" and jumps. If you can, get ahold of 'Suicide Club" or "Ju-on", but I don't reccomend "Dumlings" unless you are hardened, as it is not for the faint of heart.
