4.07 / 5.00 10,082 ViewsI'm planning on making an extremely large flash, possibly an entire movie (inspiration from Knox!!). I know that this will take long and I probably won't finish it, but the practice will greatly improve my flash skills if I don't succeed. If I do decide to go through with it, Flash 9 will be out when I'm a little over half done (24fps, 60 seconds per minute, at least an hour, that's over 85000 frames, that'll take at least a year to finish with movie-quality).
I want to know if, when Flash 9 comes out, I'll be able to move my flash up to Flash 9. As it is a fbf flash with only a scripted camera, very little actionscript will be used.
Ambition is a good thing, or so I'm told.
Yes, you will be able to move it up from 8 to 9 without any problems. But you might not need to if they don't release any good animation applicable features in Flash 9.
btw flash has a limit of the amount of frames you can have in one document.
This sig is 100% effective protection from all hexes, curses, evil spirits and bad karma. Guaranteed.

But bite off more than you can chew and you'll end up being the fool.

Correction: It's the Flash Player which recognises the frame limit.

Wow, a movie-length flash animation? that's quite an undertaking. What do you plan to do with it? I'd suggest submitting it onto newgrounds in chapters as you complete them. That way you can get feedback and construtive critisism as you make the movie. Good luck, and remember that quality is preferable over quantity... or in this case, length.
