How can you drink this shit?

Well, as a beginner drinker all i can stand is drinking vodka with lemonade. As i was only 11 when i started that stuff i was stoked at its decilisnouc (sp??) now im 13 and i just drank a glass of brandy. WORST SHIT EVER! Its horrible, leaves horrible taste in my mouth and burns going down. How can people drink that shit? Beer is okay but its nothing real special. it also tastes like shit.

If you drink brandy or hard liqour post how the hell you can stand it :S

I poored about half of a glass of it ( my cup is really deep ) and a quarter of Hawaiin Punch and i still can barely take it.

Straight spirits generally AREN'T supposed to taste good. You need to mix them. Besides, usually it's more about the psychological state than the taste, from my experience. Which should be irrelevant to you anyway, since you're WAY too young to be drinking. Wait at least a few more years, stick to soft drink until then.

This one guy had a small bottle of it at a little gathering at my cousin's house.

I sampled it... ugh. It was just so strong and so... unecessary.

I am not a fan of brandy. Or at least that type. I forget which it was.

Other hard liquors though... it's better to shoot em rather than sip 'em straight. Although I've been more partial to the mixes lately. The mix is crucial for tastiness and taking off the harsh alcohol taste. Tobasco sause is great for vodka.

i don't mind the taste at all, my first time drinking was Russian prince vodka which is REEEEALY low quality, i mean this stuff is on the floor below the bottom shelf and although it did burn a bit going down i didn't mind it.
Also i recently tried some Bacardi white rum which i actually liked straight, it almost has a coconut aftertaste and with a little coke mixed in it's damn tasty.

Personally i cant handle the taste of beer, budweiser makes me gag and almost throw up, the only beer i actually like is the cheapest stuff you can buy Colt 45.

the only tip i have for you is drink some of the alcohol you like before moving to harder stuff, after a few beer or a shot of rum you cant really taste the alcohol.

A chaser is something you drink immediately after taking a shot/sip of something to ease it on its way down and make the experience tastier.

A chaser is what you drink right after you drink alchohal. I drank some 7up after i downed a whole cup of vodka and jack daniels, drinking the complete opposite after that alchohal tasted so gooooooooooood. I had to change pants before we went to the party.

Heres how I did it. Start with mike's hard lemonade I believe that has alchahaul ( i actually used some sort of iced tea ) Then move up to beer. Then try stout. Then move on to the heavier stuff like whisky, vodka. Id say let each step take a week or 2.

I'm a light drinker, but i drink the hard stuff- Straight whiskey
but when i feel like savouring the taste, i put a little of Baileys Irish Cream in it- Baileys itself will get you drunk but its better to add stuff to the drinks- my favorite recipe here

3 cups of whiskey
1 cup of irish cream
2 oz. of lemon juice
Ice it if you want

Mix the Whiskey and lemon juice in a mixer for about 30 seconds, shaken not stirred
Let the mixture settle for 1 minute, then add in the irish cream- shake for about 30 seconds
If iced- use blender to crush the ice then pour into beverage

lol, I'd agree with that. Ever tried moonshine? I've never drunk metholated spirits, but I'm sure that judging by the smell, they taste pretty similar. Damned potent stuff too. Bad idea for my first drinking experience ever X|

Heres another recipe that my roommate just made for him, me, and his gf

2 pints of vodka
2 oz of Lime juice- fresh squeezed
2 oz of Lemon juice- fresh squeezed
2 oz of Orange- fresh squeezed (comercial OJ WON'T work)
1 oz- of water
1 cup of irish cream

Mix Lime, Lemon, and Orange juice in a blender, on mix, for 1 minute
Mix Vodka and irish cream in seperate blender (or cleaned blender) for 1 minute
Shake the two compounds together and add water(shake for 30 seconds)-unless you like it rough

It's alright, but have you tried a white russian??? That's an awesome drink!!! 1 1/2 oz vodka. 1 1/2 oz coffee liqueur. milk or cream. Mix the shots and top up a tall glass with fresh milk.
