This guy has been pissing me off for long enough now. I have finally decided to bring this moron to the light of our esteemed NG users, following his screaming fit at former prosecutor Bernie Glaser (sometime toward the begining of June). I will post a link to an article refering to it. If anyone can find a link to the clip of this happening, I would very much appreciate it. And shortly before this fit of unexplained psychosis, Mr. O'Reilly was discussing the events at Haditha in Iraq. He used an example of Americans massacring German POWs in WWII. More specifically, at the town of Malmedy. Alas, our Mr. O'Reilly managed to screw up and claim that Americans massacred SS troops, when IN FACT, it was the other way around. Bad as this may be, this was not the first, but the SECOND time Mr. O'Reilly has used this example, the first having been when pictures from Abu Graeb were coming out. He used Malmedy as an example of American war crimes in previous wars, with the SAME GUEST as would eventually be his guest for his second ussage of this aggregious error. He was bashed for this but it was assumed it was a mistake. Apparently not. The day after this, MSNBC's Keith Olbermann tore Mr. O'Reilly to peices on his show. (look about halfway down the page at the date of June 1st, 2006 and play the video)

Bill O'Reilly even makes up lies about Canada. He makes it sound like Canadians hate Americans and threatened Canada with a major boycott, which is the funniest joke ever because I'd like to see America try and boycott their #1 trading partner. He even denied that Canada is America's #1 trading partner as well, to which the Canadian he was debating with said, "well you're wrong" and he just dismissed her. Another time he went on to whine about a Canadian documentary on Fox News saying that it slandered him, which is funny because it didn't do much else than show short clips of actual episodes of O'Reilly's Talking Points and the O'Reilly Factor. Yet he showed NO CLIPS to prove that the show was slandering him, I suppose because he'd be just playing back clips of his own show. All he did was base it on his own word that Canada was slandering him, with absolutely nothing to back it up. Great way of keeping people in the dark about the truth. Just say something is truth, when it really isn't, then don't show anything to back up your claims so that people who actually watch your show and take it at face value will believe your bullshit.

I'm just glad I live in a country where most people haven't even heard of Fox News let alone watches it. The show is poison to people's minds. They claim to be fair and balanced, which is a joke because it's the most unfair and unbalanced news show in U.S. history. To me it seems like a loophole in U.S. media being owned by the government. As long as it's owned by a "private citizen" who once worked as media advisor to Nixon and former President Bush senior, then you can claim that it is privately owned therefore not the views of the party in charge... but yeah right as if that's the case.

what about the tv stations that are funded by the public, by the way? like... whats it called... PB...something... PBS? dont they show the news? or was that the channel were weird old ladies did gymnastics and that guy with the curls taught people how to paint all day? cuz over here, two different companies own most of the tv stations and newspapers, which is creepy, but then there still is the publicly funded media, which is basically the best for news and politics.
