ah yes.. the player that takes the audio portals weekly 5 and sticks them in - a system which is not so good to begin with as it can be rigged - but good songs DO get in there.. and im not sure if its JUST abots weekly 5.. havent looked at that thing in YEARS.. most ppl dont even realize it exists..

Stop caring about the chart positioning of your song among other shitty songs, and start finding people you actually want noticing your songs.

1) Nowadays, there are songs that the big names produce that are immediately flooding with straight 10 reviews. This would mean that all of these songs would end up on top with perfect fives and everything else would be lost elsewhere. I believe that reviewers, realizing this, would be more inclined to be fairer about what they say and the score they give. To help, I think, it would be wise to have a reminder on the reviewing page that says to be fair and accurate. If there's something you didn't like, then does it really deserve a 10?

I think this is a great idea, but Newgrounds operators should also keep information on people's IP adresses to prevent them from making new profiles, giving you 0-rated reviews, and not submitting anything that would allow you to do what has been done to you.

Only trouble then is to work out a complicated system just incase other family members ever want to make a profile :S

if you made it that for the AP you MUST review the audio and a minimum of 20 chaR to vote it would automaticly help in the process. (ohno dont post on Tuesday your shit will be bombed to dead)

there should be different sections on the audio front page, such as first time submitters, audio legends, and stuff like that

There are several songs on the AP that have been marked, and there still on there.
Also, you can only vote for a song once. That's fine, but the messedge says "you've allready voted on this submittion today". Either change the messedge or allow daily voting.

Finnaly. File size limit. But it's the age old question, Low bitrate or cut the song?
But the AP ran out of room once. I really don't know...

There ARE audio mods... but they cant do shit about anything else than the first submission.

I say let only "good" artists submit larger files. Make em work for it. First we'd need a better chart and voting system of course...

sorry mate but i think you are wrong on this one, how do you define 'good'? I mean will it be based on score or an average score over 20 or 50 submissions, average a 4 and get an extended limit. it just wouldn't work mate, i desperately need an extended limit, i'm sick to death of posting stuff at 96kbps especially as it affects my audio quality sooooo much.

I would prefer double that amount, it'd allow us to either produce longer songs or higher quality productions. which for flash artists is kinda helpful, i mean if a flash artist uses a song sampled at 96kbps and further truncates it it sounds horrible. having a hq version then compressing it would retain a higher audio resolution.

You can get an admin to submit the 4mb+ audio file manually, but you'll most likely get a no for reasons I can't bother to write

this is by far the best idea for the audio portal.

WE should archive the top five for each Day/week/month/year. Just have it in text. and the person can search it.

For audio, why shouldn't there just be one button: "Recommend" like a thumbs-up, which boosts the song's rating.

I agree with AndrewGlisson11, there is tones of crap in the portal that just needs to be blammed. I know of a song that is 1 second long!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
