Can someone help us out here? We need some ideas for what song to do. VG music is the name of the game. Chronamut and I will do our own take on the song and get some feedback from ya'll to know who did a better job.

Don't do anything actually from a video game. Do something that is in the STYLE of a particular video game artist. Li ke, and example could be... you know how most Final Fantasy music sounds? It always has that bassline and usually a lot of breaks and a catchy melody.

I have one if you're up for the challange, its very short with no drums or anything.

Sensible soccer, I know the snes one had music in the background when playing it, its almost certainly midi as it was a bitmap brothers game. and if anyones good at flash games id love to see that remade.

ok I've thought about it and ive decided to widen this competition a bit - because i was thinknig - we are both good at different things - so lets have categories.. and at the end we'll tally up the scores of all the categories and see who is best overall :P

first category - most realistic sound!

I know you are quite good at this tyler as I have heard your aeris theme song - but instead of one song I want to do four - the first two are rather intense - the second two peaceful - this won't be a remix - just an overhaul of the song so that it sounds pretty - not saying you cant use diff. instruments and add ambiance or change tempo etc but you cant change the notes in any way :P

first up: intense songs: kingdom hearts 2: 1) the 13th struggle
2)sinister showdown

both songs can be found in mp3 format at www.bluelaguna.net (and to confess this is kind of selfish of me - i wanna see how good you can do these songs cuz i wanna listen to them after hahahaha)

last up: calm peaceful songs: 1) chrono cross: star stealing girl
2) tales of symphonia - rest of the heart

more categories to come after this one - if you have any trouble finding any of the songs just msg me tyler - let the first major vg challenge begin!

oh and one thing - songs have to be submitted at the same time - so if i do one and you do another - then we have to wait until we have done one the same and submit it at the exactsame time - that way noone has the advantage

well the first two as i said are on the kingdom hearts 2 OST which can be found on the lbuelaguna site.. star stealing girl from chrono cross can be found pretty much newhere - as well as rest of the heart from tales of symphonia - with that song tho there is rest of the heart and rest of the heart sanctuary - since i didnt specify which if u do the other one i wont care :P

but yes I found the best coolest songs I could ^^
