Right on time, the new Retarded Animal Babies DVD is available for immediate shipment. Thanks everyone for keeping this series alive, and I especially hope you enjoy EPISODE 16 which is a brain-busting sci-fi sequel to EPISODE 14.

To commemorate the arrival of the DVD, I even took pictures of the unveiling. It's kind of neat seeing over a thousand DVDs in one big pile.

Have you ever considered having your DVD distributed on major internet web sites like Amazon, Best Buy, and many others?

If so drop me a line sometime.

I really love self-promoting posts that make no mention of Newgrounds, other flash, or anything really outside of their own lives. No, I lied, it's fucking annoying.

no it isn't

Ebaums comes to newgrounds and rakes through it for fresh content daily..

if your shit is featured on ebaums, its because they saw it here first,

get your facts straight.

I have a piece of content on Ebaumsworld and I consider it a huge accomplishment, and obviously Dave does also.

I don't care where they saw it (when they put my game up I submitted it), it's still hard to GET your content on Ebaumsworld.

Don't think that people don't submit their work to Ebaumsworld, because they do. Don't get me wrong, I like Newgrounds the best, but hell, I want my games to get on Ebaumsworld because they get a few million plays on there.

It's not hard to get your content featured on ebaumsworld if you form a fan base on newgrounds.
I deny that it is an accomplishment because 99% of the time you have no part in submitting your work to ebaums, and ebaums doesn't credit your work.
All you are is a faceless, anonymous artist if you don't credit yourself in said flash work, which they will remove if they feel they would get into legal troubles by doing so.

Ebaums doesn't try to give the authors credit because in reality, ebaums (corp or inc. or whatever) has virtually NO part in gathering the art featured on their site. The stuff is submitted by the rabid fan-base, who act like: "lewl i dunno who made this cartoon but it's cool, put it on ur site plx"

Yeah, your work is being seen by millions, but they don't know who the fuck you are. You're not getting credit, and Eric Bauman is getting wealthier by the pagehit. I resent the fact that you called me an idiot, you obviously don't have any standards.

Dude, whether you want to keep denying it or not, VERY few Flash authors will ever get their content on a site as large as Ebaumsworld. Don't give me that they don't give credit crap because it's not true. If there is proof of them REMOVING credit from Flash, then OK, I'm with you. That's terribly wrong. But putting up a Flash of someone who didn't put enough thought into it to put a fregin link to their website, myspace, deviant art thing or whatever, or even email address is not bad. If you do not put info ABOUT THE AUTHOR IN THE FLASH then why does it matter what sites take it? It can NEVER be traced back to you.

I think the bottom line here is put information about yourself in your Flash or don't make Flash because if you don't put author information you basicaly wasted your time.

Yes it is, they've been covering up the more contrivercial ones recently, but it's been going on for years.

I guess I can't change your views, but I strongly disagree.

Good Point.

About the whole removing proof of ownership I mentioned:
This has happened several times, although I really don't have links.
I'm not sure how it was accomplished, but the flash was decompiled and the preloader was replaced with an Ebaums logo, when it previously had a NG loader or otherwise. I'm sure you can think of why.

But... what do you think about Eric (Bauman) bribing a 17 year old?
http://www.newground../topic.php?id=511039

He was bribed to say that Ebaums inc. contacted Alan Becker PRIOR to posting on his website which he so obviously didn't. Then he threw in some random 1000$ Flash animation award to make it seem legit. Alan returned both bribes and refused ebaum permission to have it on his site....but, really it shows you how insecure this man really is.

Well it could be true, but guess what? How can you ask me to believe this when they DIDN'T do this to me. They left my complete intro in my Flash, no decompiling whatsoever. I was under the impression that they are paying these people to but their logo in their Flash. So basicaly I'm bias. I have no way of believing it if I experienced it first hand to completley opposite way.

Again it could have happend, didn't happend to me, I'm going to believe what I saw.

I'm not sure why Ebaumsworld would be scared of messing with and not this kid.

You know what this just makes Alan look pretty dumb. Here's my take: It was ALREADY on the new content of the week, and was off when this happend. When my game was on the new content of the week, it got about 1,300,000 plays. (There's a counter in the game) Since then, in the archieve, its reached 1,500,000. Basicaly Alan passed up some donated from Ebaum. Stupid move. Are 200,000 plays worth 1000 dollars? Don't think so.

Nicko9y and I were having a DISCUSSION. Apparently you're WAY to stupid to do that, because you just want to cause trouble.

Sometimes no money, or traffic in the world can make up for someones self worth and respect.

as it stands Ebaums, does not repect its contributors nor their work.

if you have no problem with that, then fine. But dont call someone dumb just because they

What I'm saying is he's complaining that Ebaumsworld is making money of his work. It makes no sense that he would complain about Ebaumsworld making money of his work yet they tried to pay him. It's like saying I don't want Ebaumsworld to make money of my work but I want Ebaumsworld to keep the profit.

If you look at the situation not taking the $1000 was HUGE mistake. It has nothing to do with morals. He could have taken money out of Ebaums pocket. That's what it was.

yes but, and heres the BUT part Ebaums had no intention of paying him originally.
it was only when he created a stir, that they tried to shut him up. If they were on the up and up from the begining, and offered it in the first place, that would be a different story.
But that wasnt the case. To it has EVERYTHING to do with morals, its why he didnt take the money. Im sorry that you cant tell the difference.

No moral is when you fight for a cause from the begining. Not when you take money and say, oh wait, if I take this money they I wont be able to talk about Ebaumsworld. Now I better give it back.

But this isn't what this thread is about.

I don't care what Ebaumsworld does. They can have the worst business practices in the world. That's a completley different arguement.

My point is getting your Flash on sites where it gets played over 1,000,000 times on that site alone is a big accomplishment. Forget what site it is. I don't think anyone should try to deny that getting your Flash on huge sites isn't an accomplishment because it just makes them look jelous.

I think you should know that as I'm sure your Flash is on a LOT of great sites.
